German gave a small smile and a nod as Wanderer gave him permission to read his mind. While he could easily do it without permission, as it was often the case when being a Psychic secret agent, he felt a little better if he asked first. "Very well then" He replied, lifting a hand to touch his own temple, pausing inbetween to adjust his glasses a little.
Sasha barely looked away from Wanderer as the duck turned to see who else had wandered in, having picked up the Girl's brain activity earlier on. Not much managed to surprise him lately, it was when he was obsessing over something or too focused on a task that he would let his guard down, and regretfully, leave himself open for any potential problems or pranks. Nor did he call her over, as she seemed to be interested in some of the books and he didn't want to disturb her. Briefly he considered if he should send her a telepathic message giving her permission to join them, before he switched back to the task at hand and shut his eyes behind his sunglasses, concentrating on entering Wanderer's mind. While he only needed to concentrate a little, he had read human minds, not animals and going through an Animal's mind was a bit more difficult.

As Sasha concentrated on reading his mind, the wild duck also focused on his own. He thought about his past, his life as a guard duck, his fierce battle against the weasel, watching his mate get killed and taken away from the same monster that damaged his wing, all of the failures and mistakes he had made in life.
Wanderer shut his eyes hard as he thought about his painful past.
(Pff, fail post is fail.)

((Derp. Actually forgot about this thread for a little bit. D: Sorry 'bout that..^^ ) Sasha kept still as Wanderer's memories flashed before his eyes in a manner similar to watching a film, only with the screen being his vision. As he focused, taking in every detail, the German narrowed his eyes before he blinked, cutting off the mental connection once he had determined that he had seen enough. The man gave the Duck a gentle telekinetic poke on the chest, as a silent signal for him to open his eyes as well. Sasha paused for a bit, arms propped up on to the table, recalling everything he had seen and keeping whatever feelings he had about the ordeals that his new friend had to go through locked up in his Mental cube before he spoke again, hesitant at first, though his tone was a bit colder, serious yet formal. "...The Weasel attacked you while you were making your usual rounds. You took out her left eye while she took your right wing, and you've been enemies ever since. You stopped her from attacking a possibly senile Hen named Leafie, and Leafie called you Wanderer due to your mysterious persona. A few days later, Leafie had ended up in the same grounds you were nesting in. Your mate was killed by the Weasel later that night, and you feel regret that you weren't able to save her on time. Leafie had decided to raise the egg your mate left..and your real name is not Wanderer, you kept the name Leafie gave you as a way of possibly escaping your past mistakes..." He took a breath, then looked back over to Wanderer again with a small smile, tone sincere. "And for the record, to quote a motivational speaker, “Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”"

Wanderer eyes flashed open as Sasha poked his chest, understanding what he was trying to do. He then remained still as the German psychic read through his thoughts. When he was done, the wild duck heard what he had to say about his thoughts. He was right. Right about everything, every detail, every moment, right down to the bone. His fight against the weasel, his life changing injury, saving Leafie, and the night his mate was killed. His painful memories being retold to him like a story.
He then sighed, and looked up at Sasha and his motivational speech. He flashed a smile back. "Impressive my friend, you really do have a skill right there." He then looked at his broken wing, still grinning. "You are correct, I have to keep on going with my life, it's what my mate would've wanted."
