(ooc: last post from me tonight as these characters, again sorry for it going so fast, but i have been waiting for Mami and Ikuto to interact for awhile, sorry :X)
Mami glanced up feeling the eyes of someone watching her. She was not wrong when she saw the familar boy from dance class days before. It was quite interesting to see him in a formal attire and without his violin for a change. "Can I help ya with something partner?" she asked giving a small smile, as if she knew he was going to say something about her accent. "Or am I just too purdy for ya to talk to?"
Mami normally didn't speak in southern in fact it was hardly noticeable but she decided not to lay things down so easily for this guy. She knew players when she saw them

Ikuto's eye twitched at the girl's incessant need to speak to him in that accent. It was hard enough to understand what the heck she was saying. He shrugged at her, keeping his hands in his pockets. Looking at the dance floor, "No, sorry. You're not my type."

"You expect me to believe that you actually have a type?" Mami asked without much disbelief. "Please, you are not fooling anyone with that mysterious get up boy, i can see through your own disguise. If you don't have a type ya'll wouldn't be here."

"Maybe I don't like annoying southern girls that think they know everything," he said giving her a side ways glance, "What girl? You want me to give you the time of day? Are you that eager to find the key that fits your lock?" He smirked and leaned in close to her ear whispering softly, "Hate to break it to you hon, I'm just here for the chase."

"Ha! Do not even make me laugh." Mami rolled her eyes and swatted him away. "Give you the time of day, please, i am not interested in play boys like you." she went back to sipping her tea. It was rude of her to say but this boy was not exactly on her list of people she wanted to find that fit her lock. "Also, a chase? Good luck finding a girl that could or even want to chase you like a lost puppy." Standing up she looked around the room at all the people dancing around. Why did he have to be the one to catch her eyes, she would have prefered anyone. Even the strange green haired boy.

Ikuto couldn't help it something about this girl amused him. She was just so different from others, well maybe not that pink curly haired girl, though they did have similar hair styles. He laughed lightly and shook his head, "I prefer a game of cat and mouse. Puppies are disgusting things." He went back to watching the dancers, why out of all the girls in this room did she have to approach him first?

"Oh yes, doesn't it though?" Twilight beamed. She'd read all she needed to know about dances, despite having been to the Great Galloping Gala herself. But who knew if these humans had different customs than ponies? She turned towards the food table and summoned, with her horn, three glasses of punch. She turned to the humans with a smile, magic hovering the glasses towards them. "Would you like some? According to my books, its polite to get someone a beverage when at these events!" Smiling pony would be hard to resist. She was practically giddy with excitement. * * * * "Yo man, there ain't no fine penguins up in here but at least the music is tight and the night's alright!" Beady black eyes blinked up at Merida. Wow she had some kind of hair going on! But she was a friend of Hiccup's and Daddy would have thought it rude to say something about it. He bobbed his head up and down. "Yo, nice to meet you," Atticus said, holding up a flipper as high as he could, standing on his tiptoes so she could reach it, "My name's Atticus. I've been teachin' Hiccup here how to be smoove you dig?" Unsure whether Merida would understand his speech patterns, Atticus continued. "Smoove, cool, you know what I'm sayin'?"

Scootaloo walked in not really going out of her way to really throw on anything special. She was never really the dance type. All she did was have a purple bow in her hair. She felt as though this was a good time to make friends and maybe just Mingle a little bit...........
Applejack walks in next with a beautiful dress on complete with her trademark cowboy hat. Even though she would never really be caught dead wearing anything this elegant and Frou Frou on most occasions. She thought she might as well go all out. "Howdy Twilight" She said with a smile walking up to her friend.
..............
Next who came in was Dodger. He had just a plain little black bow tie on. He kinda rolled his eyes as he sees Tito doing a Spanish dance on the Dance Floor

Charlie's ears perked and he turned to see a Chihuahua doing some sort of a Spanish Dance, the Shepherd raising one eyebrow, amused by the spectacle. Charlie looked away for a moment, his expression fading with a small frown, instead turning his attention to the dance floor and everything surrounding it. Everything was all pomp, formal...Ugh. Even Charlie wasn't one for fancy things, and he knew a few dance moves. Time to liven the place up.
With a friendly smirk he headed over to Tito, giving one last distasteful dance over to the Band playing some sort of orchestral, slow dance number before giving a shake of his head in their direction. "I hear that! Man, what a borefest," He said, giving a glare at the band. "Let's get some real music in here, huh?" He growled, before grinning again and swishing his hips. "Hey, C'mon, Whaddya say we show these guys how real Dogs do it?"
He bobbed his head to a song he had heard on David's radio, then shuffled his paws in a dance and singing along, grinning the entire time, getting more and more in to the song as he went alon. Now if only the Band could play it instead of this Frou Frou stuff... "She's into superstitions black cats and voodoo dolls, I feel a premonition that girl's gonna make me fall, She's into new sensations new kicks in the candle light, She's got a new addiction for every day and night,
She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain, She'll make you live her crazy life but she'll take away your pain, like a bullet to your brain," He paused, looking over to the Spanish-square dancing Chihuahua, just to see if he would join in. He seemed nice enough to befriend. Someone a little like Itchy. "Come On!"
((Agh, Charlie Muse, why you do this to me. x3 Also, the Song is 'Livin' La Vida Loca' by..Ricky Martin, I think.))

"HEY DD!" Dawn flinched at hte sound of the obnoxious voice as she turned to try to keep a happy face on the familiar pink haired rival that she had come to loathe throughout the years. It was almost like fate was being cruel to her because Ursula looked beautiful in a strapless black dress with glitter on it along with black pumps. "Wow, you look really nice Ursula..." she muttered. "Thanks! I know!" Ursula smiled and looked at Dawn up and down. "you look, well..let's just say you look the best you can." she smiled before turning to check the sight of the boys almost as if targetting someone to say "who would be the lucky guy to dance with me." Rai managed to smile at the pretty girl before the sound of the shrill voice of the readhead caused him to flinch a bit. The much louder but equally as pretty girl's presence seemed to cause the blue-haired girls demeanor to change instantly. He toyed with the thought of going over there and introducing himself for a bit, but to be honest, the girl with the red hair sounded like Kimiko when she was trying to hold her anger in. Mean, making backhanded compliments. However, seeing the girl suffer was too much to bear. But really, he just wanted an excuse to talk to a pretty girl. Being cooped up in the temple with three boys and a girl who was practically your sister (not that that fact stopped him from harboring feelings for the fire dragon at all) was borderline torture to Rai most of the time. Ignoring his doubts from before he made his way over to the two girls with oddly colored hair. "Ah, hey ladies." He said flashing a smile. "Name's Raimundo, but you can call me Rai." He was trying to be smooth. Whether or not he was succeeding was up for debate. Usually he was a master flirt, but when faced with girls who looked like Wuya and Dyris, he turned into a nervous wreck. Good thing they were evil. --- Kimiko watched as Rai attempted to flirt with the two girls (at least that's what she interpreted it as...but this was Kimiko after all.) After finally peeling her eyes away she looked and was shocked to see Chase standing there. Of course, she kenw he was here after their little encounter a few days ago, but HERE? at a dance of all places? It was one of the weirdest things she could have conjured in her imagination, and suddenly, the image of Chase in one of her High School dances asking a girl to slow dance with him wouldn't leave her. She raised an eyebrow at him, but made no move to turn away. ---- Hiccup hadn't responded to her, but the little penguin had. She was beginning to pick up what he was getting at. Enough to figure out that he was teaching Hiccup something, how to be smooth, was it? Either way, he seemed to be chummy with Hiccup, and was friendly to boot, so she was fine with trying to decipher the way he spoke. It wasn't too difficult. Besides, she was sure her accent could get hard to understand at times, especially when on an angry tirade or something. She met Atticus halfway and shook his flipper. Had she ever been a girly-girl she'd probably think he was adorable. "ah, yeah I think so." She said with an amused laugh. "So you've been teachin' Hiccup how to be smooth?" She asked with an amused look at the boy.

Dawn's face turned a light shade of pink as the boy with the messy hair turned to talk to both her and Ursula. She was almost forgetting how to speak again. "Uh, Hi." she said. "I'm Dawn, and this is..." she didn't want to introduce Ursula. That was a bad idea, because she could think of plenty of words to describe the pink haired girl with a burning passion. She didn't even know Ursula's last name so there was no point in that.
"I'm Ursula." the pink haired girl replied giving the boy a look up and down as if scaling him on good looks.
---- Chase had been watching the dancing for awhile and had gotten really quite bored of it. However, seeing the dragon of fire looking at him, just caused him to smirk. No waves, no interaction, just a smirk. In a way, he was surprised that he even came here at all. He should have been plotting something evil, not attending dances! It was just unbearable to think that he was actually here.
--- "Don't make me laugh pretty boy, i can see the look on your face, ya'll are just here to get some poor unforunate girl to fall for ya, well I am not gunna be it." she said with a huff before turning away to find someone else to talk to

Tito's tongue lolled out of his maw as he grinned up at Charlie. The German Shepard mix was ready to get down and party! EXACTLY what Tito was looking for! Tail wagging he lept next to Charlie and shook his tail, paws moving to the beat of the song. "Hey you got that right, man," he said with a woof, "Yeah, let's show these uptight dogs how to get down, mi nuevo amigo!" He picked up the song right after Charlie trailed off. Oh yeah he knew the lyrics, it was something he heard on the fuzzy radio all the time at Fagin's. His accent was a little thicker than the original singer's however. " Upside! Inside out! She's Livin' La Vida Loca! She'll push and pull you down! Livin' la vida loca! Her lips are devil red, an' her skin's de color of mocha! She will wear you out! Livin' La Vida Loca!" He woofed at the end of his verse and marched to the beat. "You're turn man, we gots to get these huffy people off they feet!" * * * * * Atticus practically fell out he was so pleased that Merida understood what he was saying! He grinned up at her, unconsciously tapping his foot to the beat of the canine's song. "Yo, Hiccup, she's smarter than you!" He said with a laugh, "Girl knows what I'm talkin' 'bout! Yo, check it, he was like lame when I got started and now...well he's still lame just a little bit less." He shrugged. "No offense man, you just gotta take it easy, ol' Atticus'll have the ladies lovin' you in a heartbeat!"

"Yeah, sing it small fry!" He grinned, not meaning 'small fry' as in an insult or anything, though it was a 'sort of nickname' for his Daschund Companion. And true, they weren't the best singers on the block, but he thought they both sang pretty well. Charlie chuckled as he grooved, looking around for a few seconds as an idea popped up in his head. Spotting a Microphone on the band stand, the German Shepherd headed towards it and snatched both the microphone itself and the stand it was on, giving a grin to an irritated looking Human with a french horn. "Don't worry, I think it's a Rental anyway." He grinned to the Human before skidding across the floor on his back paws in a kind of awkward powerslide back to Tito's side. He gave the microphone a tap, and seeing that it still worked, he chuckled and started stinging again, up on his paws and marching and swaying along to the beat. He even improvised and used the microphone as a guitar when appropriate.
"Woke up in New York City in a funky cheap hotel, She took my heart and she took my money, she must've slipped me a sleeping pill, She never drinks the water and makes you order French Champagne, Once you've had a taste of her you'll never be the same, Yeah, she'll make you go insane~!"
He gave another grin to Tito and gestured for him to join in on the chorus, then looked over as he noticed Dodger, a scruffy looking mutt with a bow tie, watching them. The German Shepherd grinned and waved him over. "Hey, pal, don't be a stick in the mud, Hop on in!" He called, still grooving to the beat. He shot an amused look over to his Chihuahua companion. "Hey, next time, we should just bring our own music!" He quipped before getting back in to the song.

Astrid scoffed at herself. She felt so.... vulnerable. Where was her viking attire? Her spikes and skulls? Why had she decided to come to this silly dance anyway? She had no armor and no other source of intimidation in her single person rebellion against this island game. She must have looked ridiculously non-viking. In the formal dress she wore to fit the dress code of the dance. A simple blue gown that somewhat matched the icy color of her eyes. However her dress did not glare at the floor, avoiding unwanted eye contact. Her hair was still its simple braid, the blonde had refused to go any further into the formal wear. She could have stayed in her room, gone out, but nooo some insistent, irritating part of her brain had encouraged her to suit up and join the night games. She rationalized that it was to get finding the key over with. It's not that simple. she grumbled in her head, eyes moving up from the ground and her own sandal clad feet.
With that Astrid cautiously moved from the entrance and slid away, back against the wall, calling as little attention to herself as possible. Thank the gods Snotlout wasn't here to see her in the dress. She'd never live it down and she was sure the island staff would not appreciate having to get blood off of their floors from the whooping that would surely follow. So what if she was on an island looking for 'love.' You could take the viking out of Berk but not the Berk from the viking. Despite Astrid's already grumpy rebellious thoughts, her head turned slightly to the floor, blue eyes looking stealthily for the mop of reddish hair. After all that was the only person she could fathom would be specifically be placed on the island.
Her eyes might have widened slightly as she not only saw one, but two mops of red hair, standing fairly close together and possibly in some conversation. Without any approval from common sense, Astrid took a few steps forward to get a look at the face that would confirm her suspicions. After all how many other skinny red headed boys could there be?
"Hiccup?"

Krystal was trying to decide if she should join anyone. Some of the people seem nice but some were either obnoxious, perverted, or had no manners. Krystal swore that one of the minds she detected wanted to just kill someone for no reason. That is when she heard someone singing. Krystal looked towards the stage and saw that some dog just grabbed the microphone and started singing a very vulgar sounding song. Krystal approached Charlie and asked, "Are you sure that is an appropriate song for this dance?"
