To Cure Boredom

[Coraline]

((Set on July 21st, around noon, warm but with a cool breeze and cloudless sky. Open to any younger than 20 years of age. And let's keep the pace slower so others can catch up, please. ^^))


Coraline heaved a sigh as she lay on the soft, emerald-colored grass with her arms behind her head, staring up at the sky with a dull expression on her face. Her lucky hat, which Cat retrieved since the whole 'Beldam' fiasco, rested by her head.

Ever since her arrival on the Island, the Girl set to work on double, even triple-checking all of the doors she could find and had examined any strange keys she found other then the ones given out by Aphrodite, just in case that the Beldam might be watching or even listening with some sort of button-eyed spy. It just seemed too obvious that this was some sort of trap to her, and she believed that the Beldam had some sort of part in it.

'C'mon, she's a weird, spidery thing who feeds off of children's love, and this so happens to be an Island where one can fall in love....If that doesn't scream 'It's a Trap', then my Mom is actually a broom.' her mind agreed. After she was done making sure that the Beldam wasn't around for the time being, the girl headed out to the nearby Gardens.

While she did like being around others, it was somewhat hard to think with the talking animals and adults around. She even found she was beginning to miss Wybie's company. Coraline blinked, then frowned, brows furrowed. She gave a light-hearted chuckle. In truth, she liked Wybie as a friend, she just wouldn't really admit that she missed the slouching boy. "Oh God, I'm actually missing Why-Were-You-Born. That's just great..." she muttered, propping herself up on her elbows before sitting up completely, plucking bits of grass out of her hair as she put her hat back on. "Wow. I'm so bored I think my brain might implode on itself.."

[Beast Boy]

"Bored?" The green haired boy walked up. "Well that's no fun at all now is it?" he asked playfully, in an almost flirting way. "We can't have someone getting bored on the best island on the whole planet, that would just be madness." he put a finger to his chin. The boy began to pace trying to think of a way to at least entertain the blue haired girl. "OH! I know!" he smiled. "Hey! Name an animal! Any animal!"

[Coraline]

"What th-Whoa!"

Coraline jumped slightly as a voice sounded from behind, leaping to her feet and nearly peforming an absolutely magnificent faceplant before regaining her balance. Girl gave a small glare at the green-colored boy as she smoothed down her shirt, before slowly becoming less and less angry as she observed Beast Boy. Well, for one thing, the guy was green. That was curious.

She blinked, snapping out of her train of thought as the boy asked her to name an Animal, any animal she could think of. "Whu-Oh!" She muttered, giving a small smile. The girl was confused by his question yet curious. "Uh, okay..Hmm..Giraffe?" She asked, sitting back down in a cross legged position, one eyebrow raised.

[Beast Boy]

Giraffe huh, he hadn't done that in awhile. "Alright, watch and be amazed." Beast Boy said cracking his knuckles before getting down on his knees and shapeshifting into a giraffe. It felt good to do this again, shapeshift, he hadn't done it since leaving Titans Tower, Robin had said not to draw too much attention to himself, (clearly that failed because the green hair and skin didn't!) "So, what do you think? Pretty cool huh?"

[Coraline]

Coraline's jaw dropped for a moments, awestruck. The green kid was now a Giraffe. A green Giraffe, but a Giraffe none the less. Sure, she had seen some of the talking Animals around here before, and after being exposed to both that and the Cat in the Other World, she was pretty used to it by now. But so far, she hadn't seen anyone shapeshift besides the Other Mother.

Coraline got up, circling Beast Boy for a moment before she remembered how to speak. "Whoa..That's pretty cool, alright." She smiled, taking a step back and craning her neck to look up at his face. "How'd you do that?"

[Beast Boy]

Beast Boy smiled before shapeshifting back into his orginal form. "I've got a natural skill i guess. Most would call it a mutation, or supernatural ability." he shrugged. "I can shapeshift into just about any animal. Not sure about unicorns though, haven't tried them yet." He wasn't planning on trying it any time soon either. "I'm Beast Boy, nice to meet ya."

[Coraline]

Coraline smiled, hitching a thumb back in to the direction of the Mansion. "Yeah, I think I saw a Unicorn or two back in there. Kinda hard to believe those things exist..in a weird way." She replied. "I always thought those things were in fairytales and such. Though probably everybody did, whoever didn't must've been a bit of a loon." She added before sticking out a hand for a handshake and a grin. "Nice to meet ya, BB. I'm Coraline. Coraline Jones."

[Yin]

Yin had been floating in the air, mediating in the garden, just like Master Yo had taught her to do. With the beauty of nature and the serenity and peace of the garden, it was a perfect place to just relax and ease her inner tensions.

It was a female and male voice that disturbed the tranquility as Yin opened one eye to see what was going on. She groaned in her mind. "Don't they see that I'm meditating?" she thought annoyed, realizing, that those two weren't gonna be quiet either way, the rabbit girl walked over to them. "Hey, uh what's going on?" she asked with a weak, yet friendly grin.

[Beast Boy]

Beast Boy looked at the bunny girl with a flirty smile. "Nothing much, i was just showing Coraline here my abilities to shapeshift into any animal I want. What about you?" he asked looking her over. "What have you been doing?"

[Yin]

Yin felt herself blush a bit as Beast Boy flashed his flirty smile at her. Unlike Coraline, she was used to green skinned people, in fact there were a-lot of them were she was from, they were as common as how many people didn't flirt with her.

She then felt a bit excited as the green-skinned boy asked what she was doing. Yang or Master Yo never really cared about what she was doing. "Me? Oh I was just meditating." she said, but was interested in the idea of Beast Boy shapeshifting, she knew it existed, but never really seen it herself. "Really? Can you shapeshift into anything?"

[Red]

Red was still looking for other trainers to battle, even though he has already met other trainers. He suddenly saw some sort of large green animal. He hasn't seen a creature like that before, so he assumed it was a Pokemon. Red ran towards where he saw the green creature. The three he saw didn't seem like Pokemon Trainers but Red decided to ask anyways. "Hey are any of you Pokemon Trainers?"

[Coraline]

Coraline quirked an eyebrow as Yin came up, though she didn't decide to comment on her appearance, having gotten used to what else was on the Island after a little while. "Meditating?" She replied, brows furrowing slightly. Why would anyone be meditating? All it was, to her, was sleeping while sitting up at the same time. And that honestly didn't sound like much fun.

Before she could affirm the pink rabbit's question, another boy had ran over, asking if any of them were pokemon trainers..whatever that was. Coraline's expression faded again. "Uh..Poke-what?" She questioned.

((Bluh. Crappy post is crappy. Aw well.))

[Red]

Red saw another human but also saw a green-skined guy and some pink thing that looks vaguely like a Buneary. Red wasn't surprised that Coraline hasn't heard of Pokemon, he knows now that not all of the people here know about Pokemon. Red asked Coraline, "Since you don't know what Pokemon are, do you want to see one?"

"Yup, any animal." Beast Boy said with a grin. "It's a gift i suppose, never thought of it that way but i like it, and i don't think i hsould have to change to impress anyone." the green haired boy gave her a smile with the twitch of his ponity ears. "I am not going to let this place change me, not by a long shot."

[Yin]

Yin chuckled. "Yeah, same here." Like the green-skinned boy, she liked who she was. The cute, pink Woof Foo Warrior, Yin who enjoyed shopping and doing other girly things, there was no way in the universe she was gonna give that up. "Well, I'm just here for love." she sighed, wondering if she ever will.

She then looked at Beast Boy again. "So about that shapeshifting thing, do you take requests?"
