(ooc: July 18th, sometime after midnight. Open to all.)
If there was one thing that could be said with any certainty, it was that Midna loved the darkest hours of the night. Moonlight, unlike sunlight, didn't cause her to retreat into the darkest corners and so allowed her to move about as she pleased in her imp-like form. Much as she was irritated that Zant had reduced her to such a state, she did have to admit that it had its advantages. For instance, she could slink about undetected during the day by vanishing into shadows. It was quite a handy trick when she didn't want to be noticed. Right then, though, Midna had no need for such a trick. She was admittedly hungry, and with the cover of night she felt safe to venture forth to retrieve food.
"Ah... so this is where they keep their food."
Midna had pushed open the kitchen doors, satisfaction flickering in her only visible red eye as she floated onward, and was inspecting the location to find the perfect treat for herself. Her gaze fell upon the refrigerator and immediately she moved toward it, opening the door and pulling out the first food item that had caught her eye. In this particular case, it had been some ham. Without a care in the world about who would see her, Midna proceeded to tear into the ham as though it had been ages since she had last eaten. Princess title be damned. Here she wasn't the Twilight Princess. Here she was just Midna, a hungry little imp in need of ham.
Midna's large ears perked a bit after a moment and her chewing slowed. "...Who's there?" The question was somewhat muffled by the fact that there was still some unfinished ham in her mouth, but it was clear enough to not need translation.

The large Doberman had been moving through the Mansion so late at night because he was so used to being awake at night. So the large purebred decided to occupy his time with exploring the Mansion so more, besides he liked the night and being shrouded in darkness. He had just walked into the dining room and he was about leave the darkened room until his cropped ears flicked as he picked up a noise from kitchen. He stealthily moved towards the door pushing the door to kitchen open a bit to stick his head through. What he saw was a very odd looking creature that was floated. He could tell it was female, any fool could tell that even if he could only see her from behind. And what a view it was! The light from the refrigerator helped to illuminate her form. Her body was black and white, with turquoise markings on her arms, legs, and long pointed ears. She had a big crown that looked like it was made from rock on her head and what looked like orange hair and orange. He could smell ham and she was devouring a huge piece of ham He pushed the door open a little further only for it to make a creaking sound. 'God Dammit!' Roscoe cursed inwardly.
"Who's there?"
'F@#%!' cursed himself for being spotted and being careless. He snorted in annoyance, nothing he could do about it. Roscoe pushed the door to the kitchen open fully. His body still heavily clocked in darkness, even if moonlight entered through the large windows. His obsidian coat helped him greatly to blend in with the shadows. Roscoe let out a chuckle as he stepped closer to the floating creature. Now that he could see her be could make out more details as she turned her head to look at him. She had an impish looking face and her left eye had was red was with what looked like a rock like patch over her other eye. She looked at him with while she still chewed on the ham in her mouth. "Seems I'm not the only one how's restless, at night," the Doberman said with a toothy grin. "Though I have to ask. What exactly are you?" He inquired as he moved closer to her. Generally curious about what she was as he looked her over as she simply floated there.

It was night time, the perfect time of day for the former Guard Duck. Like Midna, Wanderer enjoyed these hours, but for slightly different reasons. With so many people roaming around during daylight, the drake barely had anytime to himself, and even if he did it was never for too long. It was a perfect time to drift around and reflect on himself.
Unlike Roscoe, Wanderer silently walked into the kitchen using another entrance. He then leaped onto a counter, and watched the imp eat. The mallard wasn't to sure what she was, she had many human-like features, yet somethings weren't exactly, well, human-like. The duck couldn't put his wing on it, he was about to ask Midna something, only to be interrupted by a creaking noise and a large figure entering the scene.
Because ducks had good vision, Wanderer could observe some of the doberman. Because he was somewhat hidden by the shadows of the night, the ex Guard Duck couldn't exactly tell he was a dog just yet. But he seemed large, much larger than the one-eyed weasel back at home. His nose was rather long and large, and those teeth, they were enormous and sharp, fangs. The drake could tell he was surely a predator, no doubt about it.
Instead of speaking, Wanderer kept his distance and stood aloof as he watched was about to unfold.

Midna slowly turned about int he air, finally swallowing her bit of ham so that she might be understood more easily, and found herself looking at a rather large canine. Well, wasn't he something. The little imp had to admit that he was impressive in terms of physical build. A slight smirk formed on her face at that notion. What must this strange creature have been for? He was unlike anything the Twilight Princess had seen before, especially since there were no creatures like him in the Twilight Realm. This would be an interesting interaction.
"I'm just a simple imp. Nothing more." Midna replied. A little deception never hurt anyone. He didn't need to know about her heritage, especially when all of that had been made for naught by a single man. "I thought I'd drop in and see what these silly beings have in terms of food, only to find myself quite pleased." Midna explained. Her long red and yellow colored... hair (at least, it looked like hair flowing out from behind her helmet) took a hand-like shape and motioned to the hunk of ham in her little hands.
"They call me Midna. What of yourself, though? I've never seen a creature like you before."

The Doberman simply watched the floating creature turn around to face him, she looked him over carefully. She seemed to be taking in every detail of his impressive form and Roscoe enjoyed the attention. He worked hard to keep his body in shape and he enjoyed it as well as the perks. Her reply that she was an imp was surprising. He thought those were a work of fantasy...then again this island was filled with odd creatures and beings. All hosted by a Goddess no less! He found her reason being her to be a bit humorous. But the site of her long red and yellow hair growing larger from her crown taking the shape of a huge hand! He visibly tensed, his muscles ready incase she had tried anything. But the Doberman quickly relaxed again as the giant hand simply pointed to the ham she held in her small hands.
Roscoe grinned when Midna introduced herself and asked about him, she had never seen his breed before and she was impressed. "The name's Roscoe. I'm a purebred Doberman from Germany, a very well known canine breed, and it's a pleasure to meet you Midna." Roscoe said smoothly as he walked closer to the imp and he had to say did look quite attractive, even if she was an imp. Roscoe looked back at the huge hand that sprouted from her crown. He was still a bit wary of it, but he wasn't a cowered so he moved to stand infront of the floating imp. And she looked quite mischievous with that smirk on her mouth and he liked that about her. "So what's up with the huge orange and yellow arm and hand." The Doberman asked as he looked it then back to the ham holding imp.

Doberman... interesting. It seemed there really were quite a few interesting creatures to see outside of the Twilight Realm. Maybe the whole getting trapped there wasn't such a bad thing after all. Midna would at least learn more about creatures beyond her knowledge this way. His question garnered a shrug in response. Her form was sort of a mystery to her as well, particularly the hair. "Dunno. I've always been like this. It's just a trait of mine, I guess." she said. The pause that followed allowed for another moment to dig into the hunk of ham. She bit down with her tiny fangs and tore away a fairly good-sized bite, chewing it up and swallowing it without a second thought about rudeness or anything like that.
She did realize that just floating there in front of the fridge might have been inconvenient for the canine before her. So, at last, Midna moved slightly to the side so that she wasn't blocking the fridge entirely. "You hungry? There's plenty of stuff in here if you want anything." she said. The light illuminating the kitchen from the fridge should have made that obvious. Ham wasn't the only thing Midna had seen in the fridge, after all. There had to be something Roscoe wanted in there. For the first time, though, Midna did notice there was someone else there. He was more difficult to see since he wasn't as close to her as Roscoe, but Midna could at least make out the form of a small feathered creature nearby.

Roscoe merely excepted Midna's response to his question about her hair. He watched her just her for a moment as she sank her teeth into the ham, without much manners. But he didn't care, DeSoto and himself would dive into meat with reckless abandonment sometimes, his brother most of all. Though Midna had this look about her that he liked...a charm if you will. She was quite interesting and had this bewitching look to her and Roscoe wanted to get to know her more.
He watched to Midna as she floated to the side, giving him full view of the packed refrigerator, the light illuminating all food inside the fridge. She asked him if he was hungry and wanted anything from the fridge. He nodded his head in thanks, but he wasn't that hungry, but he would have a look. There was chicken, steak, pork, sausage, bratwurst and other foods. Yet he had to be careful, there were foods he can and cannot eat after all, especially foods with small bones and foods that would make him sick or kill him.
"So tell me Midna is it true imps are mischievous?" Roscoe asked with a toothy grin as he glanced at the alluring imp. But he noticed her attention was diverted, he followed her gaze to see that she was looking at someone hiding in the darkness on a counter top. The purebred narrowed his eyes at the lurker. The Doberman stepped away from the fridge to stand beside Midna, yet slightly infront of her. He squared his shoulders with his weight forwards to charge, his cropped ears tilled forward. His lips back to reveal deadly ivories as he snarled at the intruder. Roscoe didn't like the fact he didn't noticed the other occupant right away, but who ever it was they were small.
(OOC: Midna, you can so have Midna sit on Roscoe's back like she would with Link. I can so see her doing that while eating her ham. XD)

Wanderer just watched as Roscoe and Midna's attention was now focused on him. He didn't like the fact that the spotlight was now on him, he came here to be alone or unnoticed by others.
Unlike what most would've reacted with Roscoe's threat, Wanderer wasn't scared a bit. He've dealt with deadly predators before, his oldGuard Duck duties reassured him of that, or course they weren't nearly as large as the doberman, but the drake was a fighter and he had the marks to prove it.
Then the duck hopped off the counter an with a few light flaps landed on the kitchen floor and folded his wings to the side of his torso and just glared at the two with mysterious and unpredictable eyes.

"heh looks like you two pissed off the duck" Hyde emerged from the shadows of the hallway ducking his head as he passed threw the doorway and headed towards the fridge and gets himself a raw streak "so your all here for a snack i reckon?" he leans back on the counter then takes a bite out of the streak the blood dribbles down his chin.

Midna was about to answer the question, actually having something a little mischievous in mind, but Roscoe moving in front of her prevented her from speaking for a brief moment. Was he... protecting her? If she did have eyebrows, one would have been quirked with surprise. She hadn't expected the large canine to want to protect her, especially when he barely knew her. Her attention went back to Wanderer and she watched as the duck dropped down onto the floor, apparently not very pleased by the fact that attention had been placed upon him. One tiny hand raised as though Midna were trying to reassure him they weren't going to fight, but she didn't speak immediately. She wanted to see what would happen.
When nothing did happen, she decided to see if she could catch Roscoe by surprise with her little act of mischief. "In answer to your question, I think this would be the best way to put it." Midna said. She didn't waste any time. In a matter of a couple of seconds, the little imp was no longer floating behind Roscoe and was instead sitting on his back with her tiny hands gripping his collar. It wasn't a tight enough grip to be choking, but it wasn't loose enough for her to fall off if movement occurred.
"I have my moments of mischief. This is... sort of one, I guess. Anyway, you get to be my mount for the time being. At least until sunup. Once that sun comes up, I go poof into the shadows." she explained. She giggled in a teasing sort of way, almost like she was making fun of her presumed companion, before letting herself relax. Oh, she had missed teasing. It had been quite some time since she'd been able to do it, and now she had her chance. She felt quite pleased with herself because of this.
Her attention went back to the duck, and after finishing off her ham she decided to finally address him. "As for you, I wouldn't worry to much. Dunno about Roscoe here, but I'm not gonna hurt you." Midna said. She didn't have many of her powers at her disposal at the moment, anyway. Why waste her time with a duck?

The Doberman looked as Wanderer jumped to the floor, flapping his wings as landed on the ground softly. Folding them tightly against his body, revealing a duck! He immediately stopped snarling at the drake. He couldn't help, but chuckle. For one of two reasons; one he had snarled at duck and second the waterfowl was glaring at him! Roscoe looked as a new arrival joined them and he was huge! He looked like someone who drank protein shakes hourly, juiced up on steroids and never quit working out. And man was he ugly. But Roscie didn't dare insult the towering human, keeping his face smooth as always. "It matters not." He replied. After all the duck couldn't hurt him, it could annoy him, but it couldn't do any real damage. The Doberman raised an eyebrow at the large man's choice in food, he'd never seen a human eat raw neat before. "I'm simply here, because I'm most active at night." Roscoe replied simply, it was true after all.
Roscoe's cropped ears twitched as he heard Midna speak from behind him. He was confused by her response to his question until he felt a small weight on his back followed by a pair on small hands gripping his red, diamond studded collar. His eyes widened for a moment before narrowing. "Get off me!" He growled, whipping his head to the side to snap at her, but missed. She was out of reach so he couldn't get her. Midna wasn't choking him, but that was beside the point! He did not like being ridden! He glared at her as she spoke again, giggling at her own joke as she poking fun at him as she sat on his back. But he found the fact that she hid in the shadows during the day time.
Roscoe was still annoyed that he was being sat on, though he had to admit he didn't mind Midna sitting on his back to much, she hardly weighed anything. She wasn't hurting him either, but it was the hit to his pride that annoyed him. Especially the fact she was making herself very comfortable on his back, he could even feel her body heat through his short, silky obsidian fur. He gave a snort as Midna reminded him of the mallard. Saying how she wasn't going to hurt him. He looked at the duck that was glaring at him. "He's not worth my time," the Doberman said simply, still annoyed with his passenger. Besides he was on 'vacation'. "So I take it that you hiding in the shadows all day means you can be anywhere then...even my shadow?" Roscoe questioned as he turned his visage to the side to look at the imp on his back with a yellow eye.
(OOC: So much fun Midna! Laughed quite a bit at your post. We have to do a thread with these two again. And don't you dare have Midna get off Roscoe, this is to much fun! XD

Wanderer then looked up at the large man that entered the room and gave a nod downwards. "Well, I came here to find a place where I could rest." It was somewhat true, he did want to rest, but he did what some solitude as well.
He then looked back at the female imp with a small smile and gave a nod at her, to acknowledge what she said, he wasn't too worried about Midna, she didn't seem like a threat or more or less annoyance to him.
The duck just gave a small scoff at the doberman. For a duck, Wanderer was quite large and fit, and when it came to a fight didn't give up to easily. But much like what the dog had said, the drake had been thinking the same thing. "Heh, I could say the same thing about you." he, almost spat out the word, suspecting that the doberman was someone who brought only trouble.
