(ooc: July 11th, open to mainly smaller characters, but I'd like to see the Tape Recorder show up.)
Lampy sat in the dark as he relaxed himself, standing on a desk, like all desk lamps, indulging himself in a good read. Even though most appliances were illiterate, Lampy was a very good reader. Most likely, because his main function in life was to provide reading light for his Master when he needed it, so because he had been doing the same thing for years, the lamp learned a few things, even though his friends knew Lampy wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the bunch, he was still the only one who could read.
"Wow, that was a good book." Lampy thought as she shut the book closed with his cord. He then heard a ruffling noise, swiftly the yellow lamp looked up shining his light on the stranger. "Uh, who goes there?" he asked startled by the noise.

Tape Recorder held her wire over her eyes, which did little to keep the light out of her eyes because they were so thin. "Woah. Woah. Calm down, bright boy. Some of us are trying to sleep." She closed her eyes and stretched. "I know that Aprhodite provided beds, but nothing beats a good shelf. Wouldn't you agree?"
She picked up one of the books to shield her face. The light made it hard to see who she was talking to. "Um, would you mind pointing that light somewhere else, hon? I can't see your face proper."

"Oh, sorry." Lampy apologized to the female voice, turning off his light. At least she wasn't a spook or anything, which was probably stupid since Aprhodite probably didn't allow strange creatures running around, endangering the lives of the guests.
"Actually I prefer a desk, but hey everyone liked different things." he chuckled to himself before looking at the female appliance. She looked awfully familiar to the gooseneck lamp. After a few seconds of studying her, it hit him like a ton of bricks. She was the Tape Recorder from St. Peter's Parts Shop! "What on Earth is she doing here?" he thought.

Tape Recorder lowered the book and looked down. She took one of her wires and stabbed it into the front of the bookcase, before jumping off and lowering herself to the desk. It was so much easier to do this back when she could use Fridge's plug for an elevator. When she was on the desk, she pulled on her wire with a little strain, popping it out of the bookcase and lassoing it to her side. She turned to Lampy and smiled.
"Well, nice to see some lamp knows how to talk around here. I thought I was going to go stir crazy. None of the ceiling lamps or any of the other appliances around here move or talk on anything, hon." She shook her head. "And I thought we could get spooky back at St. Peters," she mentioned, not recognizing the lamp, "but this is like all the appliances have been killed and their corpses as still being used. It's a little unnerving, y'know?"
She smirked and whipped both of her wires around the lamp. "But enough about that. Where are you from, Bright Boy? I wish I was as good with faces as I am with voices, so I don't believe we've ever met." She smiled mischievously. "It'd just be nice to get to know someone to have a friend with around here."

"Yeah, I know." Lampy replied to the female's first question. It was really strange that none of the other appliances talked here. He then swallowed hard as she brought up the Parts Shop, that horrible slaughterhouse inhabited by insane appliance driven by madness. Lampy still had fresh memories from his stay there, and he didn't want to think about them.
"Uh friend?" Lampy asked, before catching on. "Oh, uh thanks." he smiled, rubbing the back his head with his plug. "So she still doesn't know who I am?" he thought, still baffled how no one could remember him and his buddies busting out of the hellhole.
"Well, I'm originally from a cottage out in the country, but ever since I got reunitied with my Master, me and my friends now live in his dorm room."

"Out in the country?" Tape Recorder mused. "I never had many good experiences out in the country. Got lost, then stuck in a parts shop where all I did was collect dust, and got lost again after we all escaped." She taped her cheek thoughtfully, still wrapping up the lamp. "I'm afraid I've never heard of a dorm, either. But at least you had a loyal master."
She smiled at a thought, before letting go of the lamp. She jumped back a few times, disappearing into the dark of the library. She fast-forwarded her tape until she found her recording of spooky music. Keeping herself well hidden, she began playing the haunting melody.

"Really?" the desk lamp thought as Tape Recorder mentioned she never heard of a dorm. "I thought everyone knew what a dorm was." he said, feeling rather stupid. "Yeah, the Master is the best master any appliance could ask for." Lampy sighed, thinking about the first time his bulb burned out. He thought he was done for. 86'd, and off to the showers, that was until the Master put in a brand new bulb, so that he could continue shining his light for him.
Lampy then felt a bit relieved as the female unwrapped herself from him, honestly he felt like he was gonna choke. But as she began to play her haunting music tape, the lamp felt himself get a little nervous. "It's okay, Lampy, it's just music, nothing else." he thought until he heard a sudden noise, making him jump with surprise.

Phanny peered from behind a book case, her nose sticking out. She couldn't help but to grin gleefully. She'd been waiting for someone to sneak up on. Tape Recorder's music couldn't have been timed more approprately. Phanny hopped out from behind the book case. She let her head flop back and hung her mouth open. She extended her cord out and groped at the air with her prongs. She wobbled foreword, doing her best immitation of a zombie walk.
"Boogie, boogie, boogie..." She droned, reaching out for the lamp with a prong.

"YIPE!" Lampy exclaimed as the prong hit him. Only to fall off the desk he was standing on. This was like his experience at the Parts shop all over again. "Okay, okay I'm scared, just please stop." he begged, jumping back on the desk.
He looked at his attacker, a small blue fan. Wait, she was another appliance from the Parts shop. "Um, hey aren't you the fan from St. peters part shop?" he asked.

Tape Recorder laughed to herself as she stepped out from beneath the desk. "I thought I remembered that voice. I just needed to hear your scream. You're that cute little lamp who came up with the idea that saved us all at St. Peters, aren't you, Bright Boy?"
She looked up as the lamp mentioned a fan. "Phanny? Phanny, is that really you?" She reached up with her cords. Truth be told, she had expected Phanny to be dismantled at some point during their stay at the parts shop, but apparently most humans felt the need to replace their old fans rather than repair them. "Never thought I'd see you again."

Phanny flitched a bit at Lampy's reaction. She stared down when he fell, smileing a bit, proud of herself. When she heard Tape Recorder speak, she brought her head back up.
"Well, there she be!" She said, surprized, "A' didn't think A'd see yuh either. A' didn't have th' highest of hopes fer most of ye' crazies!"
Then she giggled to herself, keeping a thin smile, looking a bit like a "crazy" herself.
"How's life been treatin' ye? Both of ya!" She looked at Lampy, "Say, weren't ye looking fer yoor old master? What became a' that?"

Lampy felt himself getting hotter as his cheeks blushed when Tape Recorder mentioned him being the one who thought up of the idea that freed all the imprisoned appliances. Of course, he was doing it to help his friend Radio from being torn apart, but she didn't have to know that. "Uh, yep that's me." Lampy said, nodding swiftly.
He then looked at the accented fan. Two St. Peter's appliances here, now that was unusual, his best guess was that they were both here looking for love, he could understand why, Lampy figured that living in an appliance murder house, waiting for you're number to be up, well anyone in that situation could probably need some love. His head then perked up as Phanny mentioned the Maater. "Oh, yeah the Master, yeah, me and the others found him, and now he live happlily in his college dorm." he mused happily. "What about you guys?" he asked, hoping that his new friends shared the same fate as him.

Tape Recorder poked Phanny impishly with one of her cords. "Hon, who are you calling crazy? Ceiling lamp was the insane one. Course, scrapyard only knows how many appliances he saw dismantled. And if you're going to keep insisting I was a crazy one, I would have to insist that it was Tape Player." She shuddered. "Now he was spooky. But it was a quiet type of spooky."
She turned to Lampy, when his question was offered. "I ran out of batteries in the forest and collapsed. Somehow I ended up all the way out here." She held his head like a hangover. "Since then, I've been spending a lot of time sleeping and staying still. I have been able to pick up a few interesting voices by eavesdropping, though."

Phanny nodded as she heard Lampy tell her how his company's search came to a good end. She twitched a bit when Type Recorder poked at her. Phanny frowned, shakeing her head.
"Poor ol' Ceiling Lamp. A' wounder whoot's become a' him."
She grew quiet again as she listened to Tape Recorder's story. She looked down at the floor.
"Well, tough. Poor gurl. It's a gud thing someone come along n' picked ye up," She said, "Ah guess A' was luckeh. A' got mesel' int' a shop an' was bought up right soon by a cullecter in toown. Then A' off n' snuck here."

Lampy shuddered a bit, at the thought of the ceiling lamp back at the Parts Shop. Boy did he scare the crap out if him. Of course Lampy did feel pity for him, after all he had experienced and seen, it wasn't too shocking that he was an insane freak.
The lamp then heard both Tape Recorder's and Phanny's stories. He was glad that Phanny found herself a good Master, but he did feel bad for Tape Recorder, but at least she escaped, and didn't have to worry about having her cord cut anymore. He smiled. "That's good to hear." he said, before realizing how dark it was. "Oh yeah the dark." he thought nervously, before realizing that he was a lamp and turned on his bulb. "It's late, what are you guys doing up?" he asked the two femakes.
