Name: Pterano
Age: Early 30’s
Sexual Orientation: Straight

Key/Lock Holder: Left to RP; another animal would be best
Brief History:
Pterano was one of the few pterosaurs to join a large herd of largely mixed dinosaurs as they trekked a desert to find the Great Valley paradise. Since he could fly and see above most of the dinosaurs, he knew he was helpful. He didn’t necessarily want to help the group; he believed the best help he could offer was to become their leader. With the upmost confidence in his abilities, he convinced half of the herd to separate and follow him. Using his ability to see from the air, he led them through a small cave and into an oasis in the desert, believing it to be the Great Valley. But after a short time the herd was ambushed by Utahraptors, and all of his herd were killed; Pterano, being able to fly, escaped and joined the original herd in shame. He’s since been on a quest to redeem his pride.
Pterano saw the invitation as a way to start anew and forget his fatal mistake.
Sample Post:
The red-brown pteranodon glided over the island by himself. He fell steadily, like a paper plane, using the sea breezes not only to keep airborne, but to cool off. He flapped once, growing too close to the ground for his comfort. After he was satisfied with taking in the scenery, his blue eyes scanned for a good place to land. What he was looking for were rocky shores. After circling once, he decided a big rock in the sand would do well. There were plenty of on the beach he could see. He eased down for it. He made sure no one was too close to the rock so he didn’t clock anyone with his huge wings on the way down.
Pterano landed gracefully and stood up on his two feet. There were others enjoying the beach along with himself. He hoped they weren’t scared of him. He’d encountered a few that were scared of dinosaurs – even though, he was just a flying reptile, but he knew they didn’t know better. When he was just standing, without the wings stretched to their wonderful glory, he was about the size of a human, so he understand the fear. He gazed out to the sea. Maybe he could impress them with his fishing abilities. He smirked and found an unoccupied spot in the sea and launched himself from the stone with a cry;
“See as I provide us with a meal!” He boasted as he flew out.
After gliding back and forth, he found a big tuna and tucked his wings against is body. His bullet-shaped body threw up a mist of water. A moment later he surfaced with the fish in his beak. He flapped furiously to get into the air again. While on the way back to land, Pterano saw a grill. He was starting to get the hang of the human stuff and knew they liked to burn their food on those things for whatever reason. He swooped by and dropped the fish on it. He landed close by.
“I promise you shall enjoy your lunch!” He purred, with a big, self-loving grin.
