((Yeah, yeah, the Title sucks, I know.
Anyway, set July 14th, around midnight, warm with a slight breeze and a clear starry sky. Open to all, though I wouldn't mind the more...manipulative/mean spirited characters showing up, either.))
"Love is a idiotic emotion. This entire thing is idiotic."
Fox huffed contemptuously under his mask as he kneeled, laying out a pile of plants in a line, breathing shaky and ragged as he left his silken mask at his side. The mutilated side of his face twitched, dead discolored and furless, and Slagar groaned as another flare of pain registered in his brain, lifting a gloved hand to gingerly touch the damaged side of his face before he let it drop with a huff and another wince. He'd have to apply another poultice soon.
He had dug up the plants after wandering the Forest for an hour or so, using only the light of the Moon to guide him. The second he had arrived on the Island and had learned that the place was created in order for one to find Love, he had stayed holed up in his room whenever he could. Though he would never admit it, the Fox didn't hate love. He just found the emotion pointless, a weakness that could be exploited. He barely even looked at the key that hung from around his neck anymore.
He knew he never would find love, nor did he think that someone would fall for him of their own will. As to him, the second he revealed his disfigurement to someone they'd probably either commit suicide or flee from him. He gave up on finding a potential mate, much less friends, long ago, though he could act the part should he need it after observing others in such emotional states.
Acquaintances and pawns were not too hard to find, but anything further then that didn't sit right with him. But he found that the more he thought over his situation, the more the thought of finding love actually worried him. As such, the anthropomorphic fox did what he usually did when something bothered him. He headed for the Forest and began identifying various Poisons, roots and other agents that would prove to either heal or hinder and would store any good specimens for later. It was the only thing that he really could think of doing that would calm his mind anymore, besides snatching up potential slaves.
As he snipped a good sample from a plant with a dagger he stored in his belt and held it up carefully in the moonlight, Slagar spoke aloud. He didn't really care who heard him, as he figured there would be somebody wandering around at this time of night anyway. His voice was a hoarse rasp, as if he had received some sort of throat injury a long way back.
"Hmmm...slight rot and some damage from insects, but not too far gone.." He said, setting the sample aside before he looked to the other plants, recalling them from memory. Slowly he felt his unease and worry simmer away like a wave over hot sand. "False parsley, Monkshood, Cocklebur, Elderberry…Not too bad at all..It’s a wonder how this Aphro-whatever even manages to keep these in such good condition with all of those hairless apes running arou-“
Foxes ear cocked to one side as a twig snapped and Slagar turned his head in the direction of the sound, eyes glinting as he snatched up his mask and tied it back in place. The silk barely moved as Slagar bared his teeth with a low growl as he stood, narrowing his eyes. Who else would be out at this time of night?

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" Blackfire was being careless as she stomped through the forest, growling at the lock on her arm. If she had simply been invited, she would have been fine. Attend a nice party. Maybe one of those Venutian mixer-minglers! Here, she'd be allowed to relax and do whatever she wanted to get a guy, sure! However, she was stuck here. She had done everything to she could to try to get rid of the lock she had been given. Tried every means of destroying it she could find. The lock still hung there, though, and it kept her stuck on the island for some stupid reason. She was absolutely livid with Aphrodite right now.
"Oh, what's the use!" She folded her arms as she entered the clearing. She raised an eyebrow as she looked around. It was like some sort of camp site. "Now, what kind of crazy person would actually camp all the way out here." She turned her head sharply in Slagar's direction and pointed at him. "You! Fox! What is all this?"

Slagar's ears flattened as another Human appeared, stomping through the bushes and right in the middle of his camp without much of a care, possibly damaging any new herbs he had yet to find. His mask fluttered slightly as he fox took a moment to glance around, smoothing his anger. There was little there, nothing but a small tent and an unlit fire off to the right, which was practically just a pile of tinder. And he really didn't see anything wrong with that, though the small benefit of some members of his Band lounging around probably would have secured his mind a little more. It wasn't that much, enough to keep him in the clearing for the night at most before he would return to his room at the Mansion, not that he cared for it much, but with a quite impressive building such as that...he wouldn't just let an offer to rest in such a place slip away.
Slagar shifted slightly, enough to shield the angry Human from the plants he was harvesting and returned her angry tone with one of his own, enough to match it at least, head lowered as he regarded the hand that she pointed at him and removed the dagger at his belt and toyed with it, preferring to keep his few other weapons in check.
"You best drop that hand unless you have a wish to lose it," He warned, tone dangerously low before he picked it up again. "And what does it look like, fool? Are you blind or something?" he snapped and gestured around the meager campsite with the paw that held the dagger, eyes glinting slightly through the eye slits in his mask. "Believe it or not, not everyone in this damnable place likes being herded in a building for days at a time."
The Fox sucked in a breath, his mask moving with it as he took notice of the lock around her arm and sheathed his weapon after determining that she hadn't brought anyone else with her. Slagar found himself..slightly curious, looking over to the Human and taking a small step closer to better his vision. While he was taller by at least a few inches, though it was difficult to tell from this distance, the attire she wore was rather strange. Not only that, but he really hadn't expected a Human to be out here at this time of night. He really thought it was just another animal. Soon, he managed to piece it together, instead staring at the woman's lock. The attitude, and some of the slight damage from what he could see, it made sense.
Slagar lifted a gloved hand to raise his own key up before giving a dismissive snort and dropping it, the metal thumping back against his chest. "Let me guess..." he trailed off, eyes averting back to Blackfire's face. "You can't make heads or tails of this stupid idea either?"

As soon as the fox had tried threatening her, Blackfire was ready to lose her temper almost instantly. As the fox seemed to become more amused with her, though, she decided to humor him. First things first, she left go of the ground and drifted up until she looked to be a head taller than him and floated there. If he thought he was going to intimidate her, he was sadly mistaken.
"It's not just the lock. It's the fact that it seems to have locked me down." She growled slightly. Not at the fox, but just at her own thoughts. "I mean, it literally dragged me here, and I can lift ten Gravitoxrian Megaphants. I can't even to take one step into the sea, before it starts dragging me back to the mansion, and flying any higher than the trees just send me plummeting back down."
She huffed. "I never wanted to come back to this stupid planet. Odds are my sister is going to show up anyday now and ruin any vacation value this might have had. And I don't see why I need to find a guy here. It's not like there's anything special about these Earthling morons, anyways. They all love my sister, just like back on Tamaran." She batted her eyelashes sarcastically. "Starfire! Oh, Starfire! We love you, Starfire!" She gagged on the words.
She paused as she looked back down on the fox. "Anyways, I certainly hope you aren't wearing that mask because you're some goody-two-shoes." She looked up and noticed the herbs that the fox had stepped away from, but she shook her head. Odds are they were probably medicinal plants, which were useless to her right now. "Besides, not like there are any females of your kind to impress around here, anyways."

When Blackfire decided to float in order to intimidate him, Slagar only managed a small grin under his mask and kept his gaze locked on hers, unmoving besides the occasional swish of his tail. It seemed that there was someone here that managed to amuse him after all, the only one that had managed it, while lacking in the size department, was that Mattimeo brat.
The Fox tilted his head a little, still observing and listening almost intently as the girl continued with her story. Bits and pieces of information were locked away in his mind, a number of things he could possibly twist to his advantage should the need arise. The Fox glanced to the key around his neck again, then grimaced. Though he wouldn't admit it, he agreed with the Woman. "I've tried the same, only without the benefit of flying. I burn it, I try to chuck it in to the sea, yet here it stays, always floating back undamaged. It's absolutely ridiculous. When I have bigger ideas for this place in mind, I don't need such an idiotic trinket holding me down."
When Blackfire decided to comment on his mask, the Fox lowered his ears, a small snarl reverberating and accenting to his tone. "No, I'm nothing of the sort. I've done things many would have nightmares of, and you'd best do well to stay away from my face if you know what's good for you." he hissed, silk shifting as the damaged side of his face twitched again beneath it. He turned his head to glance at the Plants, seeing mostly poisons. He'd have to make another trip to find others for his disfigurement.
The Fox gave a small scoff as he turned his head back towards her, giving a dismissive wave as she commented on the lack of females of his kind. The thought of being paired up with someone usually made him gag in disgust, now they just made him feel uneasy whenever he thought about them. "I do not have any need for such a thing, nor is it the reason why I came here, I gave up on such disgusting emotions long ago. Love, kindness, positive emotions are nothing but a weakness, something a Slaver does not need," He replied, rolling his shoulders in their sockets before he let himself relax just a little, "Besides, I don't need to feel when I can act. Some are just easier to twist than others with the right words." He replied. Fox gave a tilt of his head as a question popped in to his fertile mind. "I never imagined something like you to be up at this hour," He said, tone shifting from an irrate tone to one would usually use in a casual conversation. "What do they call you?"

"Nightmares? Nightmares?" Blackfire's eyes began burning violet as her hands ignited as well. "I am Blackfire! Wanted in seven galaxies! I have stolen the most precious of treasures and destroyed planets." She paused, before deciding to talk down to the fox. She pointed up in the sky. "In other words, those little skylights up there. I made them go boom. I can do things beyoung your very imagination. Nightmares are sweet dreams, compared to what I can do."
She held out her arm again. "That's probably why I'm being punished with this wretched piece of garbage. I can't remove it. This is probably one of those whole 'Find someone to love in order to become a goody-goody like your sister' things." She fumed. "I don't need this! I could destroy anything else! I'm too good for anyone here! This is just disgusting!"

Slagar lifted an eyebrow as he listened to Blackfire's rant before he turned is back, scooping up the plants he had gathered and tucking them in to his belt before he headed over to the pile of tinder across from her. He chuckled slightly, kneeling and removing his dagger as he took a spot beside the pile. Though he did agree with her, He found this particular situation to be on the unsavory side. "Oh, don't be so dramatic. When you think about it," He quipped, looking away from the pile and turning his head towards Blackfire again. He grinned mockingly beneath his mask at her, " It does sound to be quite a fitting punishment." He replied, his mind already going in to overdrive with the new information he has received. Perhaps this was what he needed.
"Perhaps once you 'find someone to," he shuddered, "love, that thing will come off. If not, then...maybe another plan of action is in order." he replied. He picked up a rock and struck his steel to it, and after a few moments had a decent fire going. The fox tucked his dagger away and sat, gazing in to the flames before he turned his head. "This..Aphrodite, was it? She seems to have some sort of position of power over this place. Now, quit your ranting and just think for a moment. From what you described, your lock seems to be cursed, enchanted or something of that effect..."

(manipulative characters you say? C:)
Cartman was out by himself. At this point, he'd convinced himself that he pretty much was entitled to everything on the island, includeing his own saftey if he had decided to say, walk out alone in the woods at night. A few of the guests were strange or strong enough to actually frighten him, but he was entirely convinced that he couldn't be hurt in a prissy lovey-dovey place like this.
He went along his marry way with a paper in hand. Cartman didn't think that the castle was serective enough to run through his list of potential females. The kid went along at a brisk pace as he poundered the greatest future hench-woman, clicking the end of his pen. Furthermore, he was consitering ways to woo said females. He seemed consumed in his plotting and snarking under is breath to himself to really take a note of where he was going. In order to avoid a tree, he turned into the clearing and paused to tap his chin with the pen.

((Haha, I was hoping Cartman could show up. x3))
Slagar's ears twitched as he heard rustling off to his right, the Fox turning his head towards the source of the sound, and a shadowy figure stopped right outside the clearing. He heard muttering, that was for sure, and almost immediatly alarm bells rang off in his head. He stood up, motioning for Blackfire to keep quiet before She had a chance to either answer or blast him for practically ordering her to stay silent. Slagar carefully slipped in to the dark of the woods, using his ears and nose to find Cartman's scent as he skirted the outside of his makeshift campsite with ease. 'No-one spies on Slagar the Cruel..'.
As he approached Cartman from behind, the Fox smiled silently to himself, carefully side-stepping a few bushes to keep himself hidden. It seemed like the Boy appeared to be planning something...Or spying, as the Fox thought. The Fox inched closer, eyes glinting under his mask as the boy appeared to pause in thought. That gave the Fox all of the time he needed, Enough for him to reach out and pluck the paper the Boy was holding right out of his hands as soon as the tubby child appeared to keep his eyes off of it. "What's this?" He smiled, tone mocking as he held the boy's plans between his index finger and thumb and backed away, back in to his campsite. "Doing some snooping, are we?" He sneered, holding the paper over his head though he didn't really bother to read it yet. At first he honestly thought that the spy was someone who would give him a run for his money, but when it turned out just to be a Human child, the Fox nearly laughed.

Cartman blinked, realizeing his list dissapeared from his hand. He lifted his head suddenly, scowling. After sticking his pen into his coat and stomped after the masked fox.
"What gives, douche bag?" He snapped.
It wasn't that Cartman was really worryed that the fox would find out his plots. It was just a fox; Cartman assumed it wouldn't matter to it what exactly he doing. He was angry because he lost his trian of thought. He sneered, realizeing he probably wasn't going to get his list back soon.
"And why would I be spying on a fox?" He huffed, gesturing with his hands, "What I was doing isn't any of your bussiness."
He tapped his foot. Great. He didn't feel like spending all night trying to get his page back; if it had gotten into the wrong hands, it would be hard to recover from. Cartman just couldn't be bothered to recount for that mistake if it had happen. Then, he let the wheels in his head turn, trying to think of a way get back his list with the least effort.

Slagar narrowed his eyes behind his mask, backing up a little further so he could see the child better while hi mask shifted a little after the fox muttered a few choice curses under his breath. Tubby, foul-mouthed...If he wasn't magically forbidden to make a few new slaves, or even leave the Island, he'd show the child just who he was talking to. Not that the Child was even fit ,much less Worthy to become a Slave under his Band, even under Malkarris, but it'd give the Fox joy to see that the child's seemingly fiery temper quelled under threat of a good caning. For now, he kept his anger restrained, though his tone was taught. "And why wouldn't you?" He sneered back, ivory fangs gleaming in the light from his fire, turning his head towards the piece of paper he had snatched and swiftly reading it over.
"Don't you know that Foxes are incredibly Cunning? Besides, I have something in mind for this place and I don't need any child ruining it..." He added, though his eyes were on the note. It appeared to be a list of names, along with a few qualities of the person written beneath in childish scrawl, and Slagar memorized it all as he read it through. The gears in the Slaver's mind began turning and the Fox began to pace slowly, head turned towards the Boy, eyes roving over him as if he was examining some sort of specimen for a scientific test. Fox could use him. He seemed to know a number of things about some of the others according to his little list...Slagar suppressed a smirk. Vitch wasn't around, but unbeknownst to the tubby child, A new spy was what Slagar was looking for at the moment.
His tone turned gentle and polite, almost kind as she spoke again. Though if anyone knew the Slaver Fox properly, they would know that he was using a 'mask' of his. "...My mistake, Child..It seems I have had you all wrong. You see, I was afraid I'd be found out too soon by someone I know. But seeing as how it's just you, and not whom I'm afraid of, I suppose I have no use for this..." he said, taking a seat at his fire and beckoned the child to his side with a paw, leaving his paws at his side and keeping Cartman's list pinned underneath the paw at his other side, so that way the Boy would have to maneuver around him to get to it. "Come. Let us talk like smart, reasonable adults..what brings you out here?"
((-shrug- Slagar actually being nice is like a Snail becoming a slug overnight. But I try.))

Wings were heard fluttering as the strange looking alicorn flew overhead, yet, she slowed down slightly as her eyes gazed at the beings bellow. She said nothing at all as she instead, just hovered there, listning in to what each of them were saying.
Plans. Love being pointless.
A slight smirk appeared across her face. Perhaps coming here wasn't too much of a waste after all, since it was becoming increasingly difficult to try and drain power from others with so many present. Too many around to interfere.
Moments later, Queen Chrysalis landed upon the ground and stepped forward to the group "My, you all seem to be having an interesting, yet, petty and pointless arguement" she spoke up, revealing herself to the small gathered group that was present.

Slagar's ears twitched as a faint buzzing sound alerted him of something flying low, then landing in the ground. The Fox merely turned his head, his attention diverted from Cartman and to the newcomer who had spoken up. Slagar's eyes narrowed behind his mask and he huffed, looking back in to the meager fire burning in front of him. The paw keeping the note pinned to the ground clenched and the Foxes mask puffed outward with a sigh. From what this strange looking newcomer had said, that hinted to him that she had been listening on the entire ordeal, though Slagar had been careful not to give anything away.
"Petty, yes. But not Pointless. It is only pointless to those not listening..or the dead." he remarked, the damaged side of his face twisting in to a smirk underneath the silk over his face. The more the merrier as they used to say. While his head was turned to the fire, the undamaged side of the Foxes face was facing Chrysalis, carefully watching her. He gestured with a free paw for Both Chrysalis and Blackfire, after remembering that she was still here, to join him. "Tell me, what brings you out here, newcomer? Enjoying the Night, or are you running from something?"

"Neither" Chrysalis spoke up in order to answer his two parter question at once "I do not run from anything, but neither am I here to enjoy the night sky. What I am doing here however, is for my own personal reasons. There is a specific reason as to why I decided to come here in the first place" she paused for a moment, eyes gazing towards the others, then back towards the fox once again "Love"
But then again, she knew that she should at least explain her ordeal to the others "However, it is not in that sense that I am after love, no, I require love for....other, more.....personal reasons" she smirked lightly as she did so "After all, I do wish to become stronger and in turn, allow for myself to fulfill my own plans....but seeing as how....complications have arisen in doing such a thing, I'm afraid that I am needing to turn to others for assistance"
Eyes gazed once more to the others, then to the fox yet again "And overhearing your own dilema....perhaps we can come to some sort of alliance"

Cartman folded his arms tighter to spite the fox. The kid was close to looseing his temper, but he kept himself from tackling Slagar as he spoke to him. At the sudden change of tone, Cartman's arms fell and he stared, looking somewhat confused. So he takes his notes, teases him and then suddenly want to discuss plans? Cartman knew something was up, if only because he probably would have acted very similarly if he wanted someone to join his own little ploys.
Once the black horse-like creature appeared, the boy flitched. Now what? He kept himself silent as she and Slagar breifly spoke. Now clearly there was something devious on the minds of just about everyone here. Cartman barely managed to make any friends on his own so far in the castle. Everyone thought he was an asshole back there. After a short while of contemplation, he smiled to himself.
"It's a list of the chicks on the island. I was trying to choose which one would be most useful for me. I was looking for - loyal assistants," He came out, and then started to tap the side of his face with his finger museingly, "But, no. Maybe I was thinking too small. Too small. What exactly are you guys thinking?"
