[Twilight Sparkle]

(July 17th for ponies only.)

"Hmmm, let's see. What do we know about love and this...Celestia wannabe person..." Twi flipped through a bunch of books she had stacked around her chair. A mug of cider (which apparently was always in season here, how weird was that?) was propped up on the arm of the chair. She sipped the mug, book cradled on her lap. It was early, almost 5 am in the morning but the pony just couldn't sleep. Everything was strange to her; these beings called humans, their ways of walking like birds but being naked and bald though clothed. She rubbed her chin thoughtfully. Books on romance, novels about said subject and text books on human behavior were surrounding her.

"I have GOT to find out about this lady. Even if it takes me all day!"

[Scootaloo]

Scootaloo walked into the Library. She like Twilight couldn't sleep. She was to busy thinking about how to get her Cutie Mark. Scootaloo wasn't gonna give up her search for it. She was gonna get her Cutie Mark if it took her for the rest of her life. "Hi, Miss Twilight" Scootaloo said happily . Scootaloo looks around the library. "You see any books about getting cutie Marks Twilight" ? The little Pegasus asked.

[Derpy Hooves]

Derpy had been flying around the castle, wandering around and causing chaos as usual. However, the ditzy pegasus was trying to find her way to the kitchen to get a snack, instead she had found herself in the library.

For a few seconds now, she had been floating around, and hadn't destroyed a single thing, until she wasn't paying attention and crashed into a book, causing herself and a pile of books to fall. Derpy poked her head out of the pile, and smiled at the sight of Twilight and Scootaloo.

"Hey Twilight, hey Scootaloo!' she exclaimed, only to have a book fall on her head.

[Scootaloo]

Scootaloo giggled as she saw Derpy crash into a pile of books. If Derpy was hurt her reaction would be a lot different. But, Derpy had this kind of thing happen to her all the time. "Hi, Derpy are you OK? Scootaloo asked going over to Derpy and wanting to help get the pile of books off Derpy . "Anything in that pile about Cutie Marks?" Scootaloo asked looking at the pile of books that were around Derpy.

[Twilight Sparkle]

"Oh! Hello, you guys!"

Twilight set down her mug, piping up as soon as she saw Scootaloo and Derpy. Wincing as Derpy crashed and shaking her head, she returned to her books. But upon hearing Scoot's question she rolled her eyes again.

"Scootaloo," she scolded, "You know that your cutie mark will come in time! You'll see! Everything is going to start up just right!" She frowned, staring at the book she was reading. "Though judging my this lock and key stuff we're probably going to be here a while." She bit her lip, turning the pages with her horn's magic.

[Queen Chrysalis]

Eyes watched the three ponies present. Her eyes in particular, locked onto Twilight for the time being, though they did gaze towards Derpy and what had happened. The filly however, was of no concern to her right now.

Her only, real concern was Twilight. She had good knowledge of magic, and was smarter than the average pony, and that could easily prove to be a problem. After all, she was the one that had freed Candence and ruined her plans in the end.

Wings flickered for a moment, making a buzzing-like noise as they did so before she took a single step forward. Time to put on a "nice-pony" act for now, see how far that would get her as she stepped forward some more as she revealed herself to the three ponies.

[Flim]

"Fascinating. A machine that can fly like a pegasus. Why, my brother and I have made machines for the land, the sea, and even beneath the surface, but never for the air. These mechanics are simply extraordinary. Why, travel would be cut in half by time, and ponies could reach new heights. It's a gold mine!" Flim threw the book over his shoulder. "Too bad that's useless to me right now."

He picked up a book on lock mechanics and began flipping through the pages. He chewed on a pencil. He had always had a hand at machines, but these locks were insane. He looked over one of the bookshelves as he heard the others. "Well, well. Didn't think I'd see anyone in here this late," he commented, not realizing he had stayed up all night.

He trotted around the bookshelf towards the others, still carrying his lock book. He wasn't familiar with the foal or the gray or black ponies. He remembered meeting them on the first day here. He had spent a lot of time cooping himself up recently. He felt a little intimidated about being the only stallion here. "What are you reading about, then?" he acknowledged Twilight Sparkle, still giving a polite bow to Derpy Hooves, Chrysalis, and Scootaloo, despite being unfamiliar with them.

[Derpy Hooves]

"Don't worry I'm fine!" Derpy exclaimed as she freed her body from the pile of books. The goofy mare then looked at the pile around her. "Sorry, looks like there's nothing about Cutie Marks here." Derpy apologized to Scootaloo. She then turned around as Chrysalis made herself present in the room. Even though, Derpy didn't really know who she was, there was something about the dark queen that didn't settle right with the pegasus, or it was the pizza she had earlier?

She then looked at Flim as he arrived. She smiled and attempted to bow back only to land on her face.

Scootaloo sighs as Derpy told her that there was no books on Cutie Marks. Everyone had been telling her that she'll get her Cutie Mark in due time. But the young Pegasus was getting quite anxious and impatient. Judging by the stories that Twilight and the others had told her and her 2 friends about. Most of them were probably around her age.

Why did she have to be patient and wait? But just then she saw Queen Chrysalis. She remembered her just barely, this was that one evil thing that had spoiled the wedding that her and her 2 friends were flower girls in. She gasps and quickly runs behind Twilight. At the moment Flim's arrival went unnoticed because she was afraid
