Key/Lock holder: Wybie Lovat, but pretty open.
Brief History: On one rainy day, It was probably another bad day for her, with nothing to do, Coraline explores her new apartment and comes across a mysterious little door in her house which was really odd. She begs her mother to open it, but when the door is opened, she only finds a paved wall, much to her dismay. That night, Coraline wakes to see a little jumping mouse in her bedroom. She follows it to the little door in the living room and upon opening it, she finds the brick wall replaced with a purple glowing tunnel. The tunnel leads to an alternate universe, where Coraline meets her button-eyed 'other' mother and father. They appear much more loving, caring and a lot more fun than her other parents. Coraline spends an evening with them and receives everything she could hope for. After dinner, her button-eyed parents took her in and she goes to sleep in her other bedroom, but wakes up the next morning in her own world - leading Coraline to think it was only a dream. The following night, however, the mysterious passageway is open again, and Coraline continues to visit the Other World despite various warnings of the danger that awaits. She befriends the Other Wybie and is entertained by the Other versions of her neighbors.
On her third visit, her Other Mother offers her a chance to stay in their world permanently - the caveat being that Coraline must consent to having the Other Mother sew black buttons over her eyes. Disturbed and frightened, Coraline declines and hurries off to bed, but when she wakes up next morning she is still in the Other World. At the resolution of the film, Coraline sees through the deception of the Other World, and of its Architect, the Beldam. With the assistance of various companions, Coraline is able to overthrow her "Other Mother's" plans and free the previous victims, including her parents (who remember nothing of their time in the snowglobe) and the Ghost Children.
A few months later, Coraline had received a letter and a strange lock in the mail. At the insistence of the Black Cat and Wybie, Coraline takes the chance to come to the Island, under the premise that this could be another trick of the Beldam.
Sample Post:
Coraline quirked an eyebrow skeptically. "So...You're psychic." she said, slowly and suspiciously. The boy with the goggles gave a small nod and gestured with a hand. Raz had accidentally blown apart a lamp with a Psyblast during the night in his sleep, no thanks to a Nightmare, and Coraline had been the first one on the scene. There was no point in keeping his abilities a secret now, though he made a note to visit Sasha about his dream.
Coraline crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. "..And you work for a group of secret government agents who are also Psychic, and stop them from committing crimes." "That-that's the gist of it, yeah." Coraline fixed the boy with a look. "You're-" "Crazy." Raz cut in with a small smirk, "And you think I look like a mini-version of that German guy you saw in the kitchen last night." Coraline narrowed her eyes. "Pft..No, I don't, Raz-the-Spaz," She replied with a bemused smirk of her own, "If you're really Psychic, then tell me what I'm thinking of.."
Raz smirked again, and as Coraline listened, her bemused expression faded. "If you insist...Your mom is a gardening catalogue editor and writer, and your Dad helps her out with that. You're friends with a talking cat. You think this whole 'love' think is completely bogus, and I agree with that. Your mom got into a Truck accident before you moved to some apartment building. You hate it when people say 'Caroline' instead of 'Coraline'. You've fought with some creepy spidery demon-thing that tried to impersonate your parents and sew buttons in your eyes. You've got a crush on some kid named Wybie Lovat."
Coraline gasped slightly and blushed, before moving to smack the boy upside the head. Raz side-stepped. "No way, I don't have a crush on Why-were-you b-" She paused, lowering her arm before giving Raz an awed look. "..No way.."
