Brief History: (I haven’t watched this series in a long time; I’m taking this information from Bulbapedia XD Sorry if I’m a little fuzzy)
Skitty was saved by May and company when she had gotten sick in the wild. When it was revealed that Jesse wanted the same skitty as May, there was a battle to determine who got the skitty. May emerged victorious and now Skitty is owned by her. Skitty took part in many contests and battles with her trainer. Although she learned new moves, Skitty still has trouble with discipline and working with other Pokemon. Skitty is a bit klutzy and socially awkward, but is almost constantly light-hearted and playful.

Skitty’s tail bobbed as she bounced along the nature trial. She had a permanent smile on her face as she rushed through the trees. Let’s see May try to catch her! Of course, Skitty didn’t mean to be rude, she just wanted to be chased and leaped from her trainer’s hands seemingly out of nowhere. The pink cat-like Pokemon was feeling particularly playful that morning and hopped through the bushes to find a playmate. Soon, she came upon a human. It never occurred to her that the human probably didn’t want to be bothered. Her tail wagged and she trotted foreword behind him. She sat behind him and pawed at his legs.
“Hey Mister!” She mewed, “I wanna play! Chase me! Chase me!”
Skitty shoved at him with her tail hard for attention and then turned around and started sprinting again, not knowing the prodding had angered the person.
He just HAD to play with her! Who could ever be mad at such a cute Pokemon?
