Name: Hubert Oswell
Age: 18
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Image:
Key/Lock Holder: Pascal
Brief History: Hubert was originally born as Hubert Lhant, the youngest son of the Lhant family and brother of Asbel Lhant. That all changed when he was about 10 years old when his father, who was convinced Asbel was a bad influence on him, decided to have him be adopted into the family of the Oswells. Without a second thought, he was sent to live in Strahta and molded into a harsh young man who quickly became a Lieutenant of the Strahtan army not long after he turned 17. Although relations between him and his brother were on the frosty side after they initially reunited, he eventually began to renew his bond with Asbel and his childhood friends Cheria and Sophie. He went on to play a role in assisting Asbel and friends in saving their world, in the process falling in love with one of his teammates named Pascal.
When Pascal got her letter, Hubert was away on Strahtan business and didn't hear of the Amarcian's departure until a few days after he returned home. When he did, he found a letter for him with a strange key inside. Intrigued and wondering if it had anything to do with Pascal's departure, Hubert decided to try and figure out the reasoning behind the key and go to the island in question. Only time would tell if he would find Pascal or not.
Sample Post: Nonsense. It was complete and utter nonsense. Even if he did find Pascal, the chances of her actually understanding his own reasoning for being there were very slim. Yet, the blue-haired teen found himself on board a boat heading for the island in question.
Hubert felt his stomach cramping, likely a feeling brought on by nerves, and was standing at the railing overlooking the ocean they were traveling across. It was a stupid idea, but if he did find Pascal he wanted to try one more time to try and get across what he was feeling. The likelihood of that working out, though, was about as likely as Sophie learning how to use her long pigtails to fly. Especially since Sophie wore her hair down these days. Hubert shook his head and subconsciously brought his hand to the key around his neck. He had to find Pascal. He just had to. Just to put down the idea in his head for the last time and maybe put his mind at ease by trying to clearly get across to her why he had turned down the offer of the president's daughter marrying him.
"Assuming she even understands that much." Hubert muttered. Pascal was a genius, there was no denying that much, but the woman could be very dense at times. Hubert knew that better than anyone. Even still, he felt confident enough to pursue convincing her of his feelings one last time. If nothing else, he could at least enjoy her company on the island for as long as possible.
