Hate That I Love You
Blue haired girl’s eyes widened at what she was witnessing. The one person she felt that she could trust, the one that she thought could never hurt her, was kissing her worst enemy. Sure, she knew that he didn’t love her, he flirted with half the girls on the island. But she thought that there was something there. Ursula finally seemed to notice her presence and pulled away from Rai, who was apparently shocked and surprised to see her there.
“Hey there DD.” Ursula said giving her a smart aleck smirk before turning away. “See you later Raimundo.” Giving Dawn a shove, the popular girl gave a curt wave before disappearing leaving the blue haired girl alone with the dragon of the wind.
“Dawn this isn’t what it-“ Rai said before Dawn slapped him across the face.
“You! You are the worst person I have ever met!” Tears came to her eyes. “You said that you wouldn’t do anything like that in a million years!”
“You’ve got it wrong, nothing happened.” The boy said quickly.
“NOTHING HAPPPEND?!” her blue haired girl’s voice got louder causing several people to peek in to see what was going on. “You were locking lips with her! I saw it. If you didn’t care about her, you would have pulled away.”
“Why do you care who I kiss huh sweet cheeks?” Rai asked with a smirk. “Why should it matter?”
Dawn stared at him in shock, tears continued rolling down her cheeks as her fists shook in anger. “I. HATE YOU!” she screamed before running out of the room in tears.
“What is her problem?” Rai thought with confusion.
“Wow, and here I thought Jack Spicer was the idiot.” The dragon of the wind turned around to be face to face with Chase Young.
“What did you say?” Rai asked.
Chase shrugged his shoulders. “You are an idiot. I don’t think I could dim it down any lower.” The heylin warrior motioned back to where Dawn had left. “You know nothing about girls.”
“What would you know about girls?” Rai asked with a spat of anger.
Chase shook his head. “I don’t know much but I do know that some girls just don’t want to show that they like you. Clearly that girl does, and if you were smart you would go after her.”
“Are you actually giving me love advice?” Rai asked very confused.
Chase smirked again and shrugged. “It’s your choice if you want to take it, but I thought you were the kind of kid who never turned down a challenge.” His gold eyes flashed. “I didn’t think that the dragon of the wind was a chicken.”
“I am not chicken.” Rai replied coldly.
“Then prove it.” Chase said before disappearing.
Dawn had spent at least most of the night crying in her room, tears stains remained on her pillow and not even Kimiko or May could get her to come out. Food was not even on her mind. Just betrayal. The sound of pebbles hitting her window caused her to look up.
‘Oh go away.’ She muttered hoping whoever it was would give up. No such luck. Standing up, she opened the window and glared down at Rai. “What do you want?”
“You can’t stay mad at me forever. It’s not in your nature!” Rai said.
“Oh, and I suppose you know everything about me?” Dawn asked crossing her arms over her chest.
“I know that you can’t hold a grudge, come out and talk to me Dawn, you at least owe me that much.” The green eyed boy stared up at her with determination.
“Fine, you have one hour nothing more.” She replied before closing the window.
Rai didn’t have to wait that long before the blue haired girl came down in a red jacket.
“Make it quick, I am still mad.” The girl muttered.
“Fine. First of all, that pink haired girl and I are not an item,” Rai said, causing Dawn to roll her eyes.
“Could have fooled me, by the way she was kissing you.” She growled.
“She forced herself on me!” Rai growled.
“You expect me to believe that?” Dawn growled. “I’ve seen the way you flirt, all of the girls can’t get enough of it.”
“Why does it bother you?” Rai asked
“Because…” Dawn muttered.
“Because?” Rai asked waiting for her to continue. “If you don’t have a reason then it shouldn’t be a problem!”
“They don’t know anything about you.” Dawn said quietly.
“Oh and you do?” Raimundo asked raising an eyebrow. “I seriously doubt that.”
“I know that you like to surf, I know that you are the oldest of your many brothers and sisters.” Dawn said again this time louder. “I know that you treat your teammates like a family. You like video games, and can’t stand it when you loose but you don’t go back on a word even if it’s a bet. You are overconfident but still have a heart.”
“Are you stalking me?” the boy asked, he was almost flattered that the girl knew so much about him.
“No!” Dawn growled. “And it bugs me when you flirt with other girls who know nothing at all.”
Rai was surprised that a girl like this could know so much about it. He always assumed she was just a girl that cared about fashion and a wallflower at dances.
“Why should me flirting with girls bother you so much?” he asked. “You have to let me know D.”
“It’s because I love you alright?” she snapped, warm newly fresh tears coming to her face. “I didn’t realize it before, I always just thought you were a cocky overconfident guy who just liked a girl for one night. But when you talked to me at that dance…it made me feel special.”
He was stunned, in fact he was so stunned he couldn’t speak. “D-”
“I mean when I first saw you, I didn’t really think much, maybe I would just be that pretty face for one night. But I knew that you were the most selfish, overconfident man I had ever met, but I knew I was attracted to you.” Her eyes were still filled with tears. “I hated it.”
“Hated what?”
“I hated that I loved you.” She muttered. “I still hate it. I hate that I love you. I know I don’t deserve you. Why do you make me love you?” she stared at him hard. “Answer me Rai?”
Raimundo bit his lip, that was a hard question he wasn’t expecting to answer. With a sigh, he walked up to her and lifted her chin with a finger before wiping her tears away. “You shouldn’t cry so much. It will ruin that pretty smile of yours.”
Dawn sniffed and gave a tiny smile. “I hope you know I still hate you.”
“I think I can live with the fact that you hate loving me Babe.” Rai smiled.
“I still think you are the worst man ever. But I still haven’t been more attracted to you!” she said before kissing him.
“I don’t think I would have it any other way.” He said with a smirk.

i worked for this on about 2 hours. I gotta say I am kind of proud of it, i wanted to give Dawn, her show personality rather than the one i normally give her. I think it turned out really well. I am not sure how well i got Rai though. -.- but yes. I decided to add Chase into it. because who doesn't love getting love advice from Chase?
