Brief History: Hyde joined the The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen against his will thanks to being captured by Mina,Quartermain and Duplin getting his ear shot off in the process and nearly being poisoned after the league defeated James Moriarty on his airship live continued as normal. Since then Edward had taken full control of his and Jekyll's body they share effective "killing" the good doctor. Hyde has also become more civil (if one could call it that) Hyde got a letter to the island and jumped at the chance ignoring rest of League's protests.
