Name: Polka
Age: 14
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Image:
Key/Lock Holder): Wilbur (maybe possibly maybe? |D)
Brief History: Polka was born and raised in a little village known as Tenuto. She lived a very simple life and seemed to be relatively happy with her existence, but deep down she was bothered. When she was little she was confirmed to have a terminal disease that would allow her to use magic. Because of this fact, most people tended to shy away from her and even were afraid of her despite the fact that the illness wasn't something people could get from being around her. Polka did long to do something good with what time she had left in her life, but no matter what happened she could never work up the courage to truly leave home. She was afraid of getting hurt by people because of who she was. So, for many years, Polka stayed in Tenuto with her mother.
Then, a few days after her fourteenth birthday, Polka received a strange letter. It turned out to be an invitation to an unknown island that had a strange lock within it, which apparently was meant for Polka. At first she was frightened. Polka didn't know how to react to the idea of someone actually seeking her out and inviting her somewhere. After discussing it with her mother, who had wanted Polka to really try and embrace the world before her time was up, she was finally convinced to give the island a shot. So, with the lock in hand, Polka bid a tearful farewell to Tenuto and set out for the mysterious island.
Sample Post: "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all..."
Polka's voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke of her being there on the island. Even standing before the entrance had her heart all aflutter and made her legs tremble. She felt as though she would just melt right then and there before finally turning into a little puddle of frightened mush. She couldn't do it. Becoming involved in a game of love with so many people she didn't know, all of whom she was sure would want nothing to do with her the instant they found out she had a disease and could use magic, just didn't seem like a wise idea. Polka stepped back, shaking her head fearfully, and began to reconsider her options. She had to go back home. Her mother wouldn't like that she had gotten cold feet already, but she couldn't stay. She just couldn't!
However, it appeared that it was too late to go back. Polka turned around to see if the boat was still there and discovered, to her dismay, that the boat had already set out of harbor. Her heart dropped into her stomach. Now what was she supposed to do?
