Brief History: roteus was born in Syracuse, and his mother passed away giving birth to him. He ended up meeting Sinbad who was caught causing mischief around town. The two were friends for a long time until his father disappoved of the friendship. Proteus was destined to take on his father's company. Proteus however did not wnat this but could not bare to hurt his father's feelings.
Despite this, Proteus tried to grow into his father's shoes, one day he recieved a key, and a letter sending him to come to this strange new island and town.
Wanting something more out of life proteus left without word to his father.

Proteus felt free as a bird, and it was nice compared to how else he had traveled. He might be rich but he didn't expect this crew to treat him differently. He liked the life on sea but he grew excited when he saw the new island coming into view
