Soaking Your Troubles Away

[Pascal]

(ooc: July 7th. Open to everyone who wants to just relax in the pool.)

Amber eyes darted from side to side as their owner stepped out into view. So far she hadn't seen anyone around, which was a good thing in her mind, and she sort of wanted to keep it that way. At least for a little bit. She had been fortunate enough to bring her swimsuit along and when she had found out there was a pool she practically jumped at the chance to relax in the water. It totally didn't count as a bath, either! It actually hadn't been that long since the Amarcian woman's last bath, but that was beside the point. She was there to relax in the pool and by golly she wasn't going to have that ruined for her.

She came to a stop at the edge of the water, crouched down, and pulled a couple of things out of her bag before setting it out of the way of the water. Flippers, goggles, and a snorkle came into view, and before long Pascal was slipping the flippers onto her feet. She grinned a bit and giggled softly. Even though she was 22, she was still amused by the fact that the flippers made her feel like she had duck feet in the water. Pascal loved that feeling. Next came the goggles, which were slipped over her head and fitted so they covered her eyes and nose. The snorkle could wait, she decided. Pascal wanted to be daring and dive without it for a bit.

Once she was all set, Pascal rose to her feet and began to move into the cool water. It wasn't terribly cold, but it wasn't super hot either. Perfect for her liking, though. She liked it just fine. Shortly after she had gotten to the point when the water was covering her mid-section, Pascal sucked in a breath of air and sunk into the water beneath her. Once she was down there, she began to kick around to get a feel for the water and began to swim forward. The world beneath the water was so cool! Pascal loved it. She wished she could stay down there forever. However, the lack of oxygen made that impossible. After about a minute or so, Pascal broke through the water's surface and gasped for a breath of air.

"This is so totally awesome! I love this place!" Pascal exclaimed. Just as the words left her mouth, she caught sight of someone approaching the pool. Now that she had tested the waters, the young Amarcian was more than willing to let other people join her.

[Tails]

"Hey Pascal!" A certain two-tailed fox said as he flew over to the pool. He stood by the poolside and observed the clear chlorine sight. "So, what are you doing?" he asked, glaring at her and the water.

To be honest, Tails wasn't very fond of swimming, he could swim, it's just that it wasn't exactly his favorite hobby.

[Pascal]

"Hiya, Tails!" Pascal greeted. She was just floating there in the water, using her feet and flippers to keep her from sinking, and looked thoroughly pleased to be there. Having her new friend there was an added bonus, too. "I was just kickin' around here in the pool. The water looked really good, so I thought I'd hang out here for a bit." she explained. It was so perfect, at least to her, so why didn't her friend join her? Pascal tilted her head to the side slightly as though she was wondering just that at that moment. Surely he'd enjoy the water, too.

"Why don'tcha come in? The water's great!" she said. There wasn't any harm in inviting Tails to join her. After all, the fox was her friend. The more friends the merrier, right?

[Tails]

"Uh, I don't know." Tails said with uncertainty, still studying the mass of aqua blue. One part of him urged to go into the water, Pascal looked like she was having a great time, and she was his friend after all, he didn't want to dissappoint her. The other part of him, wanted to stay in his comfort zone, away from that water.

"Oh, okay," Tails said giving in to himself, and gingerly dipped himself into the shallow end of the pool. It was a bit chilly, but after a few seconds he got used to it. The fox began to spin his tails underwater until, it spun like a helicopter and prepelled himself over to Pascal.

"Hey, this water isn't too bad." he said.

[Pascal]

"Yay!" Pascal cheered. She was glad Tails had decided to join her. She continued to float where she was as Tails moved toward her, focusing her attention on how he was moving, and grinned a big ol' Pascal grin when he finally made it over into the water. "I totally knew you'd like it. This way we can hang out together and cool off at the same time!" she said. She proceeded to lean back in the water so that she was on her back and remained floating where she was, seeming to still be enjoying the experience thoroughly. It wasn't every day that she got to swim somewhere besides Lake Grale, after all.

"It's been a while since I got to enjoy a good swim like this. The last time... actually, I don't remember when the last time was. It was a while ago, though. Back when I was still hanging out with Asbel and the others." she said. It occurred to her that maybe she had mentioned her friends a bit more often than someone else would have. Maybe she did miss them. After all, it had been a while since they had gone their separate ways. Pushing that thought aside, Pascal wondered where everyone else was. It seemed a bit quiet.

"Hey... think anyone else will join us here?"

[Toyo]

"I should hope the water isn't too bad." Toyo came walking in with a rather unusual 'swimsuit'. Coming from feudal Japan, she had no knowledge of modern swimsuits, though she probably would once she went shopping in town. Her swimsuit of thick, black cotton and looked somewhat like a two piece swimsuit. "I am planning on getting in."

She waded in slowly, shivering as her feet touched the water. The only structures she knew like this were hot springs, so to have it be cooler water was a bit of a shock. Nevertheless, she waded in further until she was up to chest. She sighed and let her muscles relax. She looked over at the other two. "My name's Toyo, by the way. I hope I don't seem too upfront, but I'd feel better, if I knew your names as well."

[Rolly]

Dolly walk up to the 3 people. Rolly really wanted to go swimming but he couldn't help but feel a little not wanted at this moment. Rolly walks up a bit closer to the 3 people. " Would you mind too terribly if I joined you? I mean, if you don't want me to join you guys I completely understand". Rolly said sitting by the pool hoping they wouldn't mind him joining.

[Pascal]

"Hmm?"

Pascal lifted her head from the water and shook it a bit, flinging water droplets back and forth, before turning her attention to the two newcomers. While she didn't know what to make of the new woman, she could say with certainty that the pudgy little puppy was adorable. "Puppy! Ohmigosh, you're so cute! Sure, you can join us." Pascal replied. How could she deny a dog the chance of joining them for a swim? She loved dogs, after all. Back into an upright position Pascal went, so that she might address Rolly and Toyo better, and back to moving her legs back and forth beneath her to keep herself floating she went.

"Name's Pascal. Glad to know Tails and I aren't the only ones lookin' to enjoy ourselves here." she said. She actually had been hoping others would join them so that she could get a better idea of who the other mansion residents were. Even though she had been a bit apprehensive before actually entering the pool, Pascal enjoyed socializing. She'd just wanted to test the waters on her own for just a little bit before that happened. Since that had gotten out of the way, though, Pascal was glad to not be alone.

[Tails]

Tails looked up to see Rolly and Toyo. "Oh yeah, feel free to join us." the fox replied with a small smile.

He then answered Toyo's question. "Don't worry the water's great." he replied. "The name's Miles Prower, but everyone calls me Tails."

[Rolly]

Rolly looked down with a little blush as the girl called him cute. Rolly gently climbed into the pool, if this was Hiccup Hole or he was alone here he probably would have created a big splash with a belly flop. But, he didn't want to do anything to upset the 2 people that let him swim with them. Rolly paddled over to Pascal and Tails. "It's nice to meet you Pascal, and Tails" Rolly said cheerfully. Rolly looks over to the girl who had entered as well and smiled at her. The other 2 didn't have a problem with Toyo joining so why would he?

[Toyo]

Toyo floated gently on her back in the pool. "Pascal and Tail. Cute names. Same goes with Rolly." Really, they sounded like foreign names, almost cute pet names, but she decided it wasn't the best to make such a comment. If they were foreigners, then Toyo would sound weird to them. Besides, Rolly was a puppy, so the name fit.

She just drifted in the water for a moment. "So, you're part of this whole finding a companion competition, right? That's why you're all here. Isn't it?" She sighed. "Truth be told, I used to be a lot more confidant, but I'm not sure if I can talk to men in that sense anymore. That's I decide to come down here."

[Pascal]

"Competition?" Pascal asked. She hadn't thought of it like that. In fact, she'd brushed off the idea of it being a competition the moment Fourier had even suggested it being such a thing. Still, the lock had intrigued her and she wanted to know if it really could be opened. That was the two-tone haired woman's real reason for being there. "Dunno. I just wanna see if someone can be all like chunk chunk! and open the little lock thingie I got somehow. Seriously, I tried smashing it, picking it, and even drilling it and got nothing. So I wanna see if anyone else has any ideas." Pascal explained. For the moment, though, Pascal was content to just relax and be a goof of a genius. No one was expecting her to do much of anything, right? So why waste the opportunity to relax?

In truth, Pascal didn't know much about love at all. It was either that or she was oblivious to the feelings anyone might have held for her. She certainly hadn't gotten the hint back when Hubert had essentially confessed that she was the one he loved and the reason he was going to turn down marrying the daughter of Strahta's president. Pascal was, first and foremost, a doofy genius. She hadn't understood what Hubert had meant at all, merely brushing off his confession when it had occurred, and certainly wasn't going to understand if another guy tried the same tactic with her. So the whole idea of finding love seemed to be lost on her.

"Mainly I just wanna kick around here and relax, ya know? It's not every day that I get the chance to do that." she said. That was why she had come to the pool, after all. Relaxation took priority in her mind.

[Lucky]

"YAAAAAHHHHH!" Lucky screamed, charging down the side of the pool. He ran out to the end of the diving board before jumping off. "CANNONBALL!!!!" He screamed again as he curled into a spotted ball just before hitting the water. The resulting splash was so big it showered over those present.

And Lucky resurfaced, laughing. "Guys, you GOTTA try this!! This is SO much fun!!" Cocky pup had failed to notice the others in the pool were trying to relax. He wanted to have fun and by golly he was going to have fun!! Especially since there were no parents or stuffy goose Lucy to spoil it for him.

[Pascal]

SPLASH!

Pascal was suddenly hit by the wave of water that had come up when Lucky had dived into the water. She wasn't particularly offput by it, though. In fact, the two-tone haired woman found it amusing! She just burst out laughing in delight before shaking her head again to get rid of some of the water that had been splashed upon her. "Nice dive, little guy! You were all like spa-loosh!" Pascal exclaimed. Now she kind of wanted to try it. But how doofy would it look for her to jump in while still wearing her flippers? ...Who really cared? Fun times were to be had and relaxation to have as well!

"I gotta try that. It looked totally fun!" she said eagerly. Some might have been inclined to call Pascal a rather strange individual. She had come to the pool initially to relax, but there she was getting all excited to try diving. Did she care what the others thought? Not at all.

[Tails]

"I don't know about love," The little fox said still floating in the water. He frowned, what kinda girl would be interested in a shy, two-tailed inventor like himself? The thought of love always deppressed him.

Then a pile of water splashed on top of him. "Hey!" the twin-tailed kid exclaimed before noticing Lucky. "Hey, uh what was that for?" he asked.
