"Yeah! You heard the lady! Keep your pants on! Dey're going as fast as dey can!" Joey shouted in Bridget's support. Of course, growing up in a house where he lucky if there was anything to eat, he learned to appreciate food and those who prepared it. Five minutes of patience wasn't going to hurt anybody.
He waved at Bridget and laughed nervously. "Hey, sorry 'bout dat. I should probably sit down and quit distracting ya, huh?" He gave her another supportive thumbs up, before heading over to the tables. He unwittingly sat next to Mai, really just picking a seat at random out of the room. He whistled patiently, thinking to himself, 'Buncha jerks don't realize how good dey've got it here. Not like anybody's dying of somet'ing.'

Laila had done her headfur up in a bun, holding it together with a string of pearls she had used on her first Concert with Romeo and wearing a red bandana around her neck instead of her usual scarf. Nothing too flashy, but it was enough. At first, the female paused just outside the ballroom, feeling somewhat anxious. There were so many people, and she only spotted one dog, a Dalmation puppy...
The female gave her head a slight shake. That was the point of this whole thing, after all, socialization. Taking a deep breath and pretending that this was more of a memory back in Mumbai, the female strode in on two legs, with an air of confidence as she looked around. One or two people she had seen but never really talked to, everyone else was just a blur in her mind. Flattening her ears, the dog headed over to a table she had picked out and took a seat next to Lucky, only giving him a sidelong glance as she lifted a paw to examine her claws. Somehow she felt a little more at ease sitting with another Canine, even if he was just a puppy.
((I was gonna add Raz's and Pepeline's posts to this one, but..eh. I'll do it tomorrow.))

Nyu looked at Toyo and smiled, "Nyu." She had trouble speaking in this form for whatever reason. Though Nyu surprised her by adding, "But the other one is called Lucy. She's asleep right now." She smiled at Toyo and looked around. So many people we coming in, if Lucy woke up then they'd all be dead probably. Nyu giggled and turned her attention back on the big breasted woman.

Falco chose not to dress up, he never dressed up before so he doesn't see the need to now. When he arrived at the dinning room he saw a lot of people have already arrived before him. "As usual I'm late again," he said looking around the room. Falco saw half of the group was already talking and decided against talking to anyone. He chooses to sit in chair that is away from the group. Falco notices a depressed looking, and skeleton like, kid sitting all alone. Falco walks over to the kid and asks, "Yo, you alright?" "Huh?" Bonz looked up to see a....gigantic bird standing over him? A bird wearing clothes. Huh. Well he'd seen stranger things in Duel Monsters. "Oh....yeah I'm fine." He returned to fiddling uneasily with his spoon. "It's just that everyone's all dressed up....and I don't have anything fancy to put on..." He offered the bird a sheepish grin. "I just...feel kinda out of place." |

"Know how you feel, kid. At least you're a human, I think I'm the only animal here that walks on two legs and wears clothes," Falco said to Bonz. In response to Bonz's earlier comment Falco said, "I don't have anything fancy to wear either, I never saw a good reason to ever dress up." Wondering why the kid was alone Falco asked, "Is everyone avoiding you cause you look like a skeleton?"

"Uh-huh." May smiled at Brock. "Isn't it lovely?" She then sighed as he noticed Brock getting distracted by all of the potentially single girls. "Don't even think about it." she warned him, not as a threat, but more as an annoyance, this wouldn't e the first time Brock got distracted by a girl.

"Out of place, tell me about it." Toaster chimed into Bonz and Falco's conversation. "At least you guys are living breathing creatures, I'm a walking toaster. It's pretty much pointless for me to be here." Toaster said fixing his cap.

Falco looked up at Toaster and thought, "Whoa, I thought ROB looked like a scrap heap." Falco heard Toaster say he was a toaster but Falco couldn't believe it, thinking it was a joke. Falco stared at the anthromorphic toaster trying to figure out what he is, Falco gave up and asked, "Okay I can't figure it out. What kind of robot are you? Don't say you're a toaster, because I don't see why someone would make a toaster anything like you."
(Sorry about calling Toaster a scrap heap, thought it would fit for Falco)

"Hey, I am a toaster!" he exclaimed, thinking Falco was trying to mock him. "Or at least I used to be." he said. "Before I woke up here." he said in a lighter, hopeless tone, rubbing his arm. Why did Aphrodite give him this body, it would have been much easier if he was a toaster, he wouldn't have to adjust to a new body, or deal with strange looks from people. Did it have something to do with his lock holder?
(Btw, I figured Toaster was shorter than Falco, probably the height around 4'7 in my mind.)

"Other one?" Toyo raised an eyebrow ever so slightly. The way this girl had introduced herself and then another. Was she one of twins? Most likely. That would explain why 'the other one' was asleep. She waved the comment off, deciding not to worry about it much. She smiled as Nyu turned her attention back to her. "So, what brings a charming girl like yourself here? Certainly such a pretty young woman as yourself could find a boyfriend without a dating service."
She leaned back in her chair slightly, unsure when the meal would come. Instead, she contemplated the young woman in front of her and waved her fan slowly and leisurely. "By the way, I suppose you should be the first to know, but I come from Japan. It was quite the trip here, let me tell you. Where are you from, my dear?"

"We're from Kamakura, Japan," Nyu said with a giggle, she smiled at Toyo and contemplated the first question, "Lucy said we were coming. She didn't really tell Nyu why. But we have a lock and key. Lucy doesn't like it here much. Nyu does though."
She pulled the two charms out from her dress so that they rested on the fabric of her dress. She kicked her legs back and forth bouncing slightly in her seat. She was starting to get a little hungry.

Then his eyebrows knitted together and he gritted his teeth in annoyance. "Is everyone else avoiding YOU because you have a smart mouth?!" He snapped. He'd been trying to be nice but he was getting tired of these rude comments from everyone. People either seemed to avoid him or make smart remarks about his appearance, neither of which he was very happy about. Falco's comment was the last straw. "I don't look THAT bad! At least I'm not some oversized chicken in people clothes!" "What's a guy gotta do to get some service around here?" Lucky growled in annoyance. He was clutching a knife and spoon in his paws and had tied a napkin around his neck. He was ready to dig in but there was no food on the table, and Lucky never was a very patient pup. "Gosh!! Do I have to go and get everything myself?! Cuz I guess I'll just have t- oh....hey." He said, turning to jump down from the table and just then noticing Laila next to him. He smiled at her and wagged his tail. What a cute girl!!! "What's your name?" He asked, tail wagging. "I've never seen you before." |

Bridget seemed to be hestating again before turning to the guests at the table. "It seems that no one else will come down, and if they do then they will just have to wait until desert. Everyone's hungry so we will be serving." she gave a small smile before tip-toeing back into the kitchen to get the food.

Ami looked around the room excitedly. She was interested in Lucy and Toko's conversation. "You come from Japan as well?" she asked with a smile. "Oh, I'm sorry i didn't mean to interrupt." she blushed, hre cheeks almost as bright as her hair. Turning hse decided to play with her fork until someone else could come and talk.
(ooc: maybe this would be the thread that Hiro and her meet)

Falco was surprised when Bonz just unleashed all his annoyance at Falco, "Thought I had a bad attitude." Falco was extremely pissed at Bonz right now Falco said angrily, "Listen kid, I'm sorry if offended you but I was just asking a question. I don't know anything about humans, before yesterday I didn't even know they existed! I wasn't trying to make some smart ass remark if that is what you are thinking."
Falco, still disbelieving Toaster, said, "Sure you're a toaster and I'm a sheep dressed as a falcon." After seeing Toaster's face Falco realized Toaster wasn't lying. "You're being serious? I'm sorry, I just found it hard to believe you were a toaster," Falco said genuinely trying to apologize.

"Listen kid, I'm not saying your a monster nor am I trying to treat you like one. I didn't know people treated you different because of your appearance," Falco said when he saw Bonz stare at the table. "I'm sorry about what I said, I didn't know you had to deal with it your entire life. I'm Falco by the way, what's your name?" Falco said trying to apologize and thinking he should introduce himself.
