Brock nodded.
"Yeah. You're right. When he lost against a trainer or a gym battle he just trained until he got strong enough to win. And I'm sure he'll do great in Unova. But..."
He trailed off wondering why Pikachu was here. At least Charizrad was in training and was probably on vacation here. But Pikachu always traveled with Ash and he was sure Ash had taken him to Unova.
"May have you heard from Ash recently? I was sure Ash took Pikachu with him to Unova with his mother and Prof. Oak. Then he decided to stay and compete there. So how did Pikachu end up here?" said Brock.
He paused maybe Ash was here after all and they just hadn't ran into him yet. After running into May, Dawn, Pikachu, Charizard, and Team Rocket he didn't rule anyone from showing up out of the blue. Soon dinner was served as he began eating waiting for May to sit down as he knew the table would soon be fill with all the guests aorund them.

"Well I haven't even seen a single Duel Monsters card here aside from my own. If there are other duelists here they certainly don't talk about it." said Mai.
She paused feeling sorry for him. He didn't seem like the type to lie and if his sister was going blind then he certainly needed the money. She felt bad for wanting it just to buy things. She paused as she realized he knew Yugi.
"I'm sorry to hear that Joey. How long does she have? There's bound to be other tournaments with prize money. I'm sure you could win one of those." said Mai.
She paused realizing he had mentioned Yugi's name.
"You know Yugi Mutou? The one who beat Kaiba in a duel? I would have loved to challenge Yugi at the tournament. Wait. If he's you friend maybe he could help you and give you the money for your sister's operation. It couldn't hurt to ask." said Mai.
She paused as Bridget said dinner was served as she began serving people. She began eating enjoying the food.

Snow White followed Bridget helping serve everyone. She smiled before she slipped back in to relax inside to prepare deserts or wait until someone needed help.

Ma-Ti had grown annoyed with how impatient everyone was but had remained silent. Now that food was served he began eating quietly. He couldn't wait to start meeting new friends here.

Cassidy was impatient but she smiled as food was served. She began eating not really paying attention to anyone around her. She wondered if Butch would show up as he was the only person she knew here she wanted to talk to so far.

Meowth sat quietly eating his food. He glanced annoyed at Cassidy as he kept eating. Eating with her and the twerps was very annoying. If only Jesse and James were here it would be more fun. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for desert so he wouldn't have to stay around them for much longer.

"Well, we've been worrying aobut it for a while. I t'ink she had a month left, last I heard. My mom's a real wreck about it. My dad... could care less." Joey sighed as he watched other guests being served. Soon, a bacon cheeseburger was placed in front of him. "Hey! How'd dey know dis was my fave?" He looked around the dining hall. "Actually looks like everybody got somet'ing different for dinner."
He raised an eyebeow and turned to Mai, before he could start in on his burger. "Yug? He's my classmate. Actually a bit of a twerp. Used to get picked on all the time. But I t'ink I remember him beating Kaiba. Yeah. It was just before he got dat weird invite from Pegasus. Kaiba's a bit of a loser, dough. I don't see what's so special about him." He smiled. "So what about you? What kinda story does a pretty lady like you have to head to duelist kingom? Looks like you're well off. Guess you could always make a name for yourself."

Toyo was also absent-mindedly playing fingering the key she had received. She noticed that Lucy had been the first woman she met on the island who shared the distinct feature of carrying both a lock and key, like herself. She decided it was best not to bring it up, however, in case it turned out to be a sensitive subject standing out like that. She instead decided to focus on this Koda boy. "So, Koda? Is he a nice boy, then?" She kept her smile simple and sincere. Nyu didn't seem much of a rival to the point where she might help the little sweetie find a guy. She folded her hands beneath her chin. "Did he happen to know about your coming here?" "Koda? Koda's a really nice guy. He helped me out when I first showed up on the beach! His cousin dressed me and taught me how to clean. Koda always seemed to awkward to help Nyu," she said with a giggle. Remembering when she first met Koda, Lucy remembered a lot more about Koda than she did. "Koda doesn't know we're here. He's in love with his cousin." |

May shook her head after Brock had asked her, if he had heard from Ash recently. "Sorry no, I haven't seen Ash since the Wallace Cup." she paused. "Then why is Pikachu here?" she thought, remembering the electric mouse from yesterday. Why would Pikachu leave Ash? He followed Ash everywhere, didn't seem like him to just run away from him like that.
She gave a small sigh. "I really don't know." she then looked at an empty nearby table. "But how about we eat first? Maybe we can figure it out after we eat a little."

"Sure. I'd like that." Hiro chuckled. "So what kind of music did you play? Pop? Rock? Cool jazz?" He blushed playfully. "I'm afraid I've only really played music in a video game. I probably could design a musician, before I could actually play."
He turned to see that food was being passed out. "By the way, what do you like to eat? I guess making friends is the point of this vacation, right? So we should get to know each other like that."

"Oh well, it was a mixture of pop and rock." Ami replied. "My friend Yumi loved rock and metal, and i am more of the pop girl myself." that felt really odd to say but it was true. "But we really focused on J-pop." the pink haired girl loved talking about her band but now she was excited to get into more fun stuff. Especially since this boy wanted to know her. "Let's see...I am not too picky, i like pizza, riceballs, sushi, sweets and...um..." that was a hard question to think about. Ami really didn't hate anything. "I am not a huge fan of eggs but that's about it. What about you?"

"Well, I'm more into riceballs, noodles, sweets, anc chicken. Never was too big a fan of pizza. Always got stuck to the top of my mouth, and the delivery boys are never on time." He chuckled. "Of course, I kind of have a personal chef, so I could eat anything I want. Of course, I guess that comes with being a thirteen-year-old billionaire." He leaned back in his chair and shrugged.
"And I guess I'm okkay with eggs, but it's really not a big deal. But I do like J-Pop. I listen to it all the time while I work." Hiro eyes widened a little as he realized something. "Oh, forgive me. I haven't introduced myself. I'm Hiro Okamura of Toyman Industries." He held his hand out to shake.

"In love with his cousin? The one who helped dress you, right?" Toyo actually wasn't unfamiliar with cousins marrying each other, having come from feudal Japan. They must have been nobility or at least rich farmers. "Well, it must be a good thing you came, then. I don't know all the details, but men often are hard to dissuade. You are still a very attractive girl, nevertheless."
She looked around, but her interest wasn't in the food. It was looking at the various men. It seemed most were predisposed with another young woman currently, save for the young man who had been staring at her breasts earlier and the one who looked like a human peacock who was talking to a rather silver-skinned child. Still, the young man with tanned skin seemed interesting as he seemed to only be on a friendly level with his girl.
For now, though, she cleared her throat and turned back to Nyu. "You'll have to forgive me. The men in my village were... dishonest, to use the polite term. I'm rather glad to have been invited here. What kind of young man do you think you'll be looking for Nyu?"

"Yes! That's correct," Nyu said with a smile, "Attractive? Oh! Okay thank you!" In all truth Nyu didn't really know what that word meant, but Toyo seemed to mean it in a good way.
She took a moment to looked around when Toyo did. There was a boy sitting all alone with blue hair, he didn't really look like he wanted to be there though. Then as Toyo asked her a question, Nyu snapped back to look at her, "Oh! I don't know just someone nice!"

"Well, I really don't understand why they decided to add the lock and key gimmick. I mean, a romantic retreat would have been enough." Hiro grinned and chuckled. "But then again, if you don't have a gimmick, I suppose a game isn't very much fun, is it? Of course, love is generally considered more complex than a game, even though it is often dubbed a 'game for two'." He shrugged. "I guess it'll just be nice to meet a girl. I've always been into older women, personally. Of course, that's not too hard when you're only thirteen." He laughed some more.
He cleared his throat and adjusted his head to seem a little more polite. "Anyways, I think I've heard of you guys before. At least have your guys' tracks somewhere. I don't get out of the factory much, so I couldn't see any of your tours, I'm afraid. So as you can guess, a vacation like this was sorely needed for a guy like me. I'm still a kid, after all."

I just need someone I can trust." Toyo smiled gratefully as she was served, though she had no idea what the food was. She poked it with her finger a moment, before deciding that the conversation was more interesting right now.
She moved the plate over to the side, so she could lean forward, resting her chin on the back of her hands, the fan being used as a support. "So, Nyu, might I ask where those horns on your head are from. I don't mean to pry, and you don't have to tell me, if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I'm just wondering if those are real horns or a headband."

(ooc: Hope you guys don't mind me bringing in Heather as well, showing up late and all that XD)
Heather entered the room by that point, only to realize that she had arrived late. That was sometthing she wasn't all too pleased about, but to her, it was better to be late than not too show up at all, especially if it was food being served by someone who wasn't Chef Hatchet this time around.
She glanced around for just a moment before she took a seat herself on the closest available chair. Yet, she decided against saying thing for the time being, still just the tiniest bit irritated that she was still as cetrain as ever that Chris was still behind all of this, shown by a bit of irritation on her facial expression.

"Okay, so you're an oni, then." Toyo shook her head. "And don't worry. I was just simply curious. You seemed a little timid. I guess leaving Japan for a new country will do that."
She turned her attention to a newcomer who hadn't sat down yet. She waved her hand to try to be noticed by her to come sit down. Though she had been hoping for a guy to come over, so she could flirt with them, she wasn't opposed to having another potential gal pal. Nyu seemed a little childish, after all. Not a bad thing, but Toyo would enjoy being able to talk to more and more people, so long as they didn't know her own history.
