Now rex was really excited. He had no idea such things exsisted. "They are all so cool." he said with a smile holding his hand out to the Glaceon. They were just like regular animals back home only with powers. So, in reality Rex didn't really mind not going home again for awhile. "I think this sounds way more interesting than what I have been doing."

"Oh come on, your life doesn't sound dull at all." May said supportively as Glaceon walked over to Rex and rubbed it's head against his head, purring. "You fight monsters and can turn part of your body into a machine, most people would find that cool." she said, smiling at Rex and her pokemon. "So what's it like being part machine?" she asked.

Rex had never been asked that question before, so it surprised him. "Eh, its alright. It's not all bad, i mean saving people is great and all but most just think I'm some kind of freak of nature. Being part machine or rather "part evo" as they would call it. They see it as a great problem. But I like it." he gave a tiny smile. "It's nice to have people who understand though, that's what Providence, it was a big business that took in evos like me and sort of gave them a home."

May felt some sympathy for Rex, being treated like a freak, that was no way to live life. But what exactly was an evo? Was it like a pokemon?
"Um, what's an evo?" she asked, curious as Beautyfly landed on her head.

"It's a sort of monster. They have these things in them called nanities were are very human like machines that can help keep thier body moving and can make them do incredible things, but evos have small problems with theirs." he replied. "There are three kinds, monsters, aliens and humans. I'm just one of the better looking ones." Rex smiled overconfidently

May was a bit freaked at the idea of evos and monsters, but from the way Rex was describing it, it looked like any normal person could be an evo. A small laugh came out of her as Rex boasted about himself. "Yeah, you got that right." she accidently agreed to that statement and realize her huge mistake. "Oh crap!" she thought, embarrassed, feeling her stomach flop, not sure how Rex would react.

Rex was a bit taken back that she had responded like that, normally any girl would have hit him on the head or smacked him. But she didn't. He smiled. "I was joking but its nice of you to say so then i will take it as a compliment." he leaned back in his chair for a moment. "It might be scary at first but its a new way of looking at life."

A wave of relief hit the girl as Rex wasn't creeped out by her mistake. That was a close one." He blushing receded and she looked back up at Rex. "Uh, you're welcome I guess." she said, trying to shake off the awkwardness and finished the last of her meal.

"Pretty much." Rex replied. "See, its complicated but I'm the only one who can "cure" evos and get them back to normal." he shook his head with a sigh. "I used to hate it because everyone treated me like a freak but now i am ok with it."

Rex smiled. "Well, i don't know about that, i've hardly got any peace when doing the job." he sighed. "Compared to your life it sounds boring, i mean you actually got to train these..." he looked at the pokemon again. "What did you call them again? Poke...something?"

"Pokemon." May finished Rex and then looked at her pokemon, then at the Beautyfly perched atop of her head. Recalling her experiences as a trainer, then later as a coordinator. Her early reluctance as a trainer, now there was nothing better in the world than being a coordinator. And with the support of such great friends like Ash, Brock and her brother Max. She was greatful for that experience and glad she stood faithful to it.

"Pokemon." he replied looking at the group of animals again. For a moment he thought that maybe this was a good idea. Every other time he tried to find an excuse to get out of this place, he just kept coming back to the same conclusion. This place, well, it was ok... and now he actually could tell Six that he learned something.

May then looked at her pets then back at Rex. He was a nice guy, and May was glad she got the chance to talk to him. She then looked around the room. "I wonder where the waiter is?" she asked. "I'm done eating my food."
