Rain Showers, May Flowers

[Rex]

(ooc: well aint that the cheesiest title in this whole world. Anyways, date is July 12th, and a new twist, its a rainy day! Open to May and Rex for the first few pages and then it will be open to others)

Well that was just perfect. The hispanic teen just wanted a normal day to explore the town and what had he gotten, rain. 'Well this is just perfect..' Rex sighed, glancing out at the rain that was pouring down outside. 'I just had to go and leave the house...' shaking his head, he stayed under the roof of the store. He did have an umberella but he really didn't want to use it at the moment, especially going back on that trial was probably worse and muddy

[May]

May had just finished some shopping. Getting new clothes, new makeup, getting a manicure, and pretty much anything to treat herself. The girl checked her watch. "Shoot! I need to get back to the mansion for dinner." she thought, picking up her bags and heading of to find the exit.

When she did find it, she saw Rex, and the pouring rain from the silver gray clouds. "Aww, rain, really?" she thought dissappointed, not that she didn't have an umbrella or anything, she just hated gloomy weather like this. She then looked at the Hispanic teen, taking note of his dissapointment. "Hey, are you okay?"

[Rex]

Rex turned to the girl who had addressed him. "Oh yeah, i'm fine, just in the same situation you are." he replied. "I have to get back to the mansion but don't really want to risk the trail in this rain." he shook his head. "From what i recall is that it could be mudding."

[May]

"Oh, I see." May said, looking at the downpour then back to Rex. She heard the same rumor he did, that the Mall Trail route was a real, muddy challenge in weather like this. The rain didn't look like it was gonna get lighter anytime soon, and it could be a long wait for both of them. May looked at Rex with a smile.

"How about we wait till it's done raining? It looks like it's going to lighten up soon." she suggested, lying on the part about the rain lightening up soon.

[Rex]

"Sure, beats sitting out here in the rain." Rex said with a smile. "I know a good little cafe, you know if your hungry we could talk and wait for it to stop raining." Wow, he must have gotten really bad at talking to girls if the first thing he said was going to a cafe to eat and talk. But there wasn't much else he could offer. He wasn't a weather god, he couldn't stop the rain. Besides, this girl seemed really nice. "I'm Rex by the way."

[May]

At first, May was a bit surprised at the offer. Most people would've just sat there, waiting for the bad weather to stop, but an offer to go to a cafe was a rather bold move on Rex's part. But, she probably would've gotten bored really fast, and she was a bit peckish herself. "Sure, I'd love that." she said before turning to walk. "By the way, I'm May, nice to meet you Rex." she said with a side smile, before walking a few steps ahead. "Hey, so are we going or what?" she asked, happily.

[Rex]

Rex smiled a tiny smile. "Yeah, we're going." he replied. "I figured it beats sitting here getting all wet, besides I'm sure we'll miss dinner." That wasnt' a good thing to miss but he was at least glad he had someone to talk to. "Nice to meet you May." he said before opening the door to the cafe. "Ladies first."

May was a bit surprised that Rex had opened the door for her. "Hmm, a gentleman." she thought looking at the Hispanic male. "Thanks." she replied before walking in.

Once she was inside, the girl looked up at the menu. Coffee, cakes, sandwiches. It all looked so good. "Oh, I can't decide on what to eat." she said looking at the menu with her finger on her face. "What about you Rex? What are you gonna eat?" she asked her new friend.

[Rex]

Rex had to think about that for a moment. "I am probably just going to get a slice of cake, because their cake is really good." he said with a smile, he knew this from coming to this little cafe quite a bit. He gave her a tiny smile. "Everything here is good, its kind of hard to choose."

[May]

She gave a small laugh. "Yeah tell me about it." she laughed before looking back up at the menu. The cake looked good, judging by the menu picture and the way Rex described it. But then again that thing was probably loaded with calories, and May didn't really want to take that risk. "I think I'll have the BLT sandwich, that doesn't look to bad." she said looking back at the boy and then ordering her food.

[Rex]

Rex smiled before telling the waiter what they wanted. He took a sip of water before looking at the girl again. "So, you doing some shopping?" he asked.

[May]

"Yes I am." May smiled, pulling her bags up onto the table. There was probably nothing in the world, May enjoyed more than spending a day shopping, and even better than that, trying on her new purchases.

She then looked up at Rex. "Do you wanna see what I bought?"

[Rex]

Rex smiled a tiny smile. "Sure, but i don't think that there's a point because i bet anything would look good on you." he said flirtiously. Great Rex, only five minutes in and you are already flirting with her. Why do you do that? Shaking his head he just smiled. "Sorry, force of habit, i would love to see it."

[May]

May cocked her a little after Rex said that whatever she got it would look good on her. Was he hitting on her? Well, whatever he said, he apologized, and she took it a bit as a compliment, it wasn't every day she got a compliment like that.

"Well," she started, fishing through one of her bags. "I got this really cute teal bathing suit, and I really hope I can use it next time I go to the beach. And I also got this nice striped cami, I'll probably use it on a hot day or something like that."

"Sounds like you have quite the knack for shopping." Rex said with a smile, in truth he was like most guys where he wasn't interested in shopping but he liked talking to people. and May was nice enough to actually want to go with him somewhere.
